It's probably my favorite set. Upper deck was like the Tesla of trading cards back in the day... compared to topps and proset. Lol

Love this set. Whenever I find pack in the wild, I'm always buying. I actually have a bunch of high-series complete factory sets.

@@smitshowcollectibles2507 yeah, I think the class from this year were all deserving of induction. Tough to see the other guys passed over again but they’ll likely make it in a year of weaker first year eligible players

@@Bruins-vq5ey His career is incredibly similar to Zubov’s. Gonchar was top 10 in Norris voting 7 times. He was a 2nd Team All Star twice. He won a cup in Pittsburgh and he was a big contributor in the playoffs throughout his career, including the Pens’ Cup. He’s 17th in career point by a D-man. He at least deserves consideration.

I hear you. I've been using HGA, CSG and Elite Card Grading. Check out my videos from them. I try and grade as many HOF rookie cards and any Gretzky I can. Gretzkys have a huge resale value.

Its crazy cause they're almost unrecognizable. I feel like they're so poorly done. But I remember very well getting anything in any product that was a hologram....it was like hitting the lottery. Lolol

It's a popular set and if they're factory sealed, they have value. If they're French Edition... they are even more valuable. Check ebay sold listings.

Yeah, with as stingy PSA has been with 10s lately, I wouldn't grade any of them. 9s aren't worth the cost of grading. So Jagr is 2 or 3$ and the rest are 0.50 to $1.50. Millions exist. Its still tons of fun and nostalgia, especially hi #s for the OG YGs.

People don't think it is any worth anything but I have made 1000s of my cards after grading psa

I don't thinkmyou know what your talking about these cards are getting hot but yes only psa10 buy if you spent 50 bucks on a blaster box, you might get 5 buck in cards if lucky , but this gentlemen was correct in his assessment.

PSA is garbage . They’re slabs are outdated foggy acrylic and their labels suck

@@smitshowcollectibles2507 Nice. I love that product. That set got me into collecting hockey when I was a kid. I had just started to care about RCs & that set was loaded. Its still a lot of fun, especially hi #s. I think Bure's "Young Guns" was his only RC.

Thanks for watching Nicholas. Modano rookie was the 90-91. I use a website called trading card database; you can search sets by "rookies". It just makes it easier to verify which cards are considered rookies for every player.

@@smitshowcollectibles2507 Nice, now I have to go back and look into my cards! I started collecting in the 84-85 season and ended up with some of the good rookies! Football cards catching on, hockey will be next.

I graded a few of the Jagrs....got a PSA 10 on one of them...moved it for $125. Thats the BIG Money I'm talking bout!!! Lol. But I've gotten quite a few 10's from a variety of different grading companies and have def made some good profit!!!!

I graded the 3 Jagrs..all PSA 10s... ended up doing them all for an average of $150 a piece. So minus grading fees.... definately made my $300

It's possible for more than one company to have rookies of the same player.These are the first -year cards of these players,they are rookies.Every player in 1990 UD was a rookie?That's BS. Previously released by OPC Premiere? Wrong.Same year,and UD was released before Premiere.Helps to know what you're talking about,and obviously you're clueless.

@@djtsuks863 i'm afraid you are the clueless one. Beckett guide and the card database have the first year of upper deck as every card is a rookie for that first year. O-pee-chee was still the main sought after cards as the rookies in the OPC Premier were considered the official rookie cards and are considered more valuable than any upper deck of that same year. Beckett and the market agree. I was a card dealer back in the first year of upper deck. I knew the market back then and i know the market now. The first 3 years of upper deck cards are worthless and dont fetch much in funds while the OPC Premier rookies are valuable. For example...an OPC premier of jagr is 75 to 100 bucks and a upper deck of that year is 2 to 5 bucks. Get an education before you speak.

If you say that a graded ud jagr went for $199 then imagine what a graded opc premier would go for...maybe $600. The first 3 years of UD were overruns and errors. Further, opc Was the leader of the card market at the time and nobody paid much attention to upper deck...they were just another card company among over 20 other companies that just started. The first year of upper deck is listed as all rookies because it is the first year. Like all card companies a rookie card is the first time on that companies card. For example.. Tim hortons matthews rookie is in 2017 and not 2016 like upper deck. It is still a rookie card for Tim Hortons. Did you ever consider that the one that bought that card for $199 was clueless like you? I have tried selling rookie cards from those first 3 years of UD and nobody buys them but the same players in premier fetch hundreds of dollars and sell easy. Every collector in the world goes after the premier jagr before going near a UD. Why do you think UD boxes go so cheap from those first 3 years? I got my box of 6 jagrs for $25. In comparison, OPC was the Upper Deck of the time and Upper Deck was the parkhurst of the time. Beckett says it all when you see the cards from UD in the first years are listed in cents not dollars and premier is listed as dollars, not cents. You go ahead and try to sell your jagr UD rookie for any amount...i cant even sell them for $5.00. You will get an education very quick. Good Luck!

@@djtsuks863 Here is how clueless you are....beckett guide has the Upper Deck Jagr rookie go for $1.00 and the OPC premier Jagr is $75.00. It doesnt matter who released it first, the official rookie card status is decided by the people buying the cards. In 1990, the people buying cards chose the OPC Premier as the official Rookie card. Which is why Beckett had the premier jagr at $50 and the UD jagr was 75 cents. Even to this day the Premier Jagr is still 5 times the value than an UD Jagr. Same goes for Modano, Sundin and any other rookie from that year. As for the first year of UD...they were listed as all rookies in the price guides because each player was the first time on UD. They even listed Gretzky as a UD Rookie because it was his first year on UD. I am just reporting what the guides said...if you got an issue with the guides labelling all cards from that year as rookies, then take it up with them not me. If you can't get rid of your UD jagr, modano, and Sundin for more than a couple of bucks. I have a graded 10 Felix Potvin...ebays comparitive hint says that card is good for 15 bucks. That is what it sells for on Ebay. What do you get for a UD Jagr rookie on ebay...i think I saw one for $25 graded. Premier Jagr rookie last went for $300. Do you belong to Qanon?
