Originally aired during January 1990 on several commercial and cable channels in the metro Detroit area.
This is a commercial for a yearly performance of Sesame Street Live. In this case, the show appeared in Detroit January 24 through February 4, 1990 at Cobo Arena in Detroit. All of the favorite characters make an appearance in this spot, led by Big Bird.

This was Jim Henson’s last Sesame Street live tour. He died in May that year.

Had no idea they performed at Cobo! I saw them at the Fox Theater a few times

Typically you're right, it seemed the Sesame Street shows were always at the Fox. We wonder what the circumstances were behind the switch. Thanks for watching our channel1

They used to come to the old Sports Arena in Toledo.

From what we were able to research, it looks like it was in Toledo from March 23 to April 1, 1990. Not 100% on that, but close.
