First Ride Videos - Bikes that I've never ridden before Process 1. Get access to a motorcycle 2. Look up the base specs(BHP, Torque, Weight and MSRP) 3. Film 1 ride on the bike and be honest about how I feel while riding it

Thanks for uploading this, I have a 1990 in the same colours with only 28K on the clock. She's a beautiful motorcycle; fast, smooth, great handling and terrific brakes, I'll never sell her.

Absolutely, it was a pleasure to ride! I hope to find more bikes of this era to ride in the future!

@@MotorcycleDemoRiders Thanks for that. Also, I can't believe how cheap they are; here in the UK I paid £1995 from a dealer with a new MOT, a huge amount of quality motorcycling for the money.

I rode the CBR1000FK for many years, touring, work runs and racing at Brands Hatch. It still remains one of the best all round bikes I've owned. Had mine for almost 20 years. Now I'm on a Gen 1 Hayabusa and Tiger 1200 - but still missing the CBR!! A Great Bike.

I have just purchased a ‘91 CBR in the so called ‘Benetton’ colours.. Due to be delivered this Friday. I have various other bikes, but I have always wanted to own a big CBR.. Looking forward to delivery. 1990s paint schemes were awesome 😎👊🏼

Thank you for watching and commenting. It is a good bike! By todays standard, it's so much like sports touring machines. Quick but still super comfortable. A pleasure to ride. Enjoy it and stay safe!

Thanks for the review. It brought back very good memories of the CBR1000F I bought in 1987 in Perth Western Australia. At the time, it was the fastest production motorcycle available anywhere in the world. I now own and ride a 2022 Kawasaki Versys 1000 which is a very different bike, but better suites my riding style now I’m approaching 60!

I'm glad you got to relive some old memories! I had a blast riding it! Riding down the road did kind of have a transportation effect bringing me back to the the late 80s early 90s. I love the versys also! Great bike and platform and just as fast as the cbr1000f lol

The best. The older super sport bikes were the best. Actual dash boards with readings. The zx14 and gsxr1300 still have the nice gauges .
@MotorcycleDemoRiders
@MotorcycleDemoRiders 4 месяца назад
Can't argue with that. I love the look of the classic dashboards. I took out the 24 Hayabusa recently and adding the mini tft in between the classic gauges made in look really nice.

The motorcycle of my childhood dreams, which I gave myself at 37 before I even got my license ! Model 1989, it is said that its colors were to celebrate the bicentenary of the French revolution. Maybe, maybe not, i like to believe it. In Paris, sometimes children call it the motorcycle of France or Santa's motorcycle. And the elders regret their youth riding it...

Oh, it's such a cool thing to get something that you wanted when you were young! My only regret was the fact my camera and audio equipment at this time was so bad. I wish I could have done better to show this bike off better! It was wonderful to ride, and I also remember this bike when I was younger! It made me so nostalgic. Stay safe always!

Small world indeed! Congrats on the bike! I've said it in other comments my biggest regret was not having the best camera and audio so I could do this bike justice. Its heavy by modern standards but so very comfortable and still quick. Congrats again and hopefully I will see you out on the roads. Stay safe and Enjoy it!

I had four of these in the UK. The FJ when it first came into the Country in the late 80s, followed by an FK in that red/white/ blue configuration such as yours. I later had a Blackbird in 1997 and another in 2005. However, I still hankered for the CBR1000F, and bought two more used ones in the mid 2000s. The FK is still my favourite. As I got older, I went over to Fireblades due to their lighter weight. Thank you for posting this video. Very happy memories from an old UK biker.

No, thank you for taking the time to watch and comment. Connecting with other current riders and hopefully also giving possible new riders videos of bikes so they can start riding themselves is my main driver for the channel and I appreciate your perspective and sharing a little of your history with us. I can understand making the switch the Fireblades as this model is pretty heavy lol. That said it is a great bike to ride and that extra weight does keep it very planted on the road. I would love to get a first ride on the 1997 Blackbird that would be a great bike to ride, I think. Anyway, I'm very glad you enjoyed it, and it brought back happy memories for you. Stay Safe and Thanks again!

Nice video. I owned a 93 plate for a few years in the 90s. Great machine! I will get another one! I had a 1200 Bandit 2 years ago but I still missed the CBR.

Thank you very much for watching and the comment! It brought me back to when I was younger seeing the press releases and falling in love with the looks and the dream of 2 wheels lol. I really enjoyed riding it but I need to find another one to film with better equipment to really do it justice. Always remember the bikes we wish we still had! By the way, just watched the video of the celebration on your channel. Looks like that was a heck of a party and everyone was having a great time. Thanks again for the comment and when you get your next bike make sure to share it! Stay safe my friend!

Was such a pleasure to ride this bike. Sure heavier than modern bikes, but for the time, it was on par and amazing. It still holds its own against modern bikes and provides that special feeling. I am still searching for another one to film with my updated camera and audio equipment. Nice selection of bikes, by the way. Thanks for taking the time to watch and comment. Stay safe

Had one for two years hear in blighty. You haven’t even touched the performance. Also they are a very forgiving bike. On the down side eats chains and sprockets but I was a young man then!👍🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿

I know this had so much more than I was able to give it. I wasn't given permission to really open it up by the owner before I rode it. I did enjoy it a lot and I'm on the lookout for another one to get a better film on in the future so I can better experience it. It's interesting how our riding changes over the years. While I have gotten much tamer of a rider now, I still enjoy the thrill of opening a bike up from time to time. I just bought a 2012 Triumph Daytona 675 and plan to make it a track bike to keep the younger side of me alive a little longer. Who needs the chain and sprockets to last long anyway lol.

Well no go fund me but I did eventually get a better camera and microphone setup. This bike was in particular one that I regret not having better equipment. I really wish I could have done it better because it was such a pleasure to ride it. Sorry for the poor experience.

At the wheel that sounds about right. It was so varied when I looked it up online between 120 and 135 but out of the 10 sites i checked it averaged to 130. Great bike to ride and honestly I should have bought it

That bike was never the fastest in any year not even close , the Kawasaki would just destroy it as well as others, great motor after you replace the recall adjuster and smooth, its a big soft touring bike really but great power and looks.
@MotorcycleDemoRiders
@MotorcycleDemoRiders 2 месяца назад
1987, for a brief time, it was the fastest at 164mph but was beat sortly after by the zx10 tomcat at 165mph. It was such a smooth and comfortable bike to ride. The development of motorcycles over the years is fascinating. Now, these are slow by comparison
@paulscountry456

@@MotorcycleDemoRiders oh 87 maybe some bike mag pinned that title on it but I have ridden those and also that top speed is questionable as the power to weight is just not there but who knows what prep they did and a tiny rider like Jay G might get good times out of it .

I used to love blowing away ZX10s, R1s and Fireblades on my 89 model. FN. The motor was build for drag racing by the Australian Pro Stock champion Jim Hanlon. It ran 10.4 consistently back then and was great on the street because it was so heavy. It would lift the front only about 4 inches while the other bikes would be impossible to keep from somersaulting when trying to keep up. The only bike that beat me on the street back then was a blade with nitrous. It would do just over 300kmh/ 187mph on the Speedo. No idea how accurate that was. It has one of the best fairings ever, fantastic headlights, amazing front forks and brakes. I drag raced it, toured it and rode track days. It had only two faults. Footpegs were too low for tight tracks and timing chains needed changing every 30k miles. New bikes are faster stock but I'll always love that old girl.
