Thank you for posting this. It's nice to see this program from different camera angles, and with quieter commentators, than the footage with which I'm familiar. That was also a good point about catching a rut on the takeoff of the salchow by the commentator.
One of my favorites and the greastest ever! Funny how this year's 2009 Championships couldn't land any combos and no more than 3 or 4 triples. Kristi, with a few changes to choreography, could still win a World's today with this program.
@rickram1961 I agree, and she quite often performed either a triple lutz/ triple toe combo or a triple flip /triple toe combo and a total of 7 triples, very competitive even for today.
@Luukashist Sorry, I meant to say at the 2009 U.S. National Championships the ladies weren't doing many combos. I remember the 2009 U.S. Nationals being not up to par technically.
I wonder if the general excitement in figure skating has lessened because of the new CoP. It certainly seems that the general artistry has suffered since around the early 2000s.
I wonder why she always had the triple sal in her program. She had like a 1/10 success rate with that jump - seems like a double axel or something would have been a smarter option.
the austrian judge scored midori ito over kristi at this worlds!!! THat's atrocious ... i love ito and i like ito more overall but in 1991, kristi was undoubtedly a well-deserved champion!
