To this day, I still pronounce Black Hole as BLAGGOLE. And I'm likely to yell at my kids "ANSWER ME, YOU MAGGOT!" if they don't respond when I ask them to clean their rooms.
Yeah, well, I got Pizza Party and nothing was actually edible AND the ingredients didn't even have the courtesy to come to life and dance, life's a bitch
@frank3l It was called Atmosfear in the UK because of copyright issues from what I remember. It was first developed as "Nightmare" in Australia, where it originated from, and it was also called Nightmare in the States. The game used to scare the hell out of me when I was a kid!
This is why i had a massive fear of meatloaf (atmosfear), great game, scared the crap out of me as a kid (worse when i tried it out along on my own in a dark room at night in the winter...what could go wrong).
I know it's been a year, but maybe you're still interested in knowing. Atmosfear and Nightmare were the same game. The production company had trouble with the name 'Nightmare' in the UK, so they switched it to Atmosfear. The DVD version is still known as Atmosfear everywhere though.
Game is from 1991, so that is thirty years. I was just thinking 🤔 that by now with so many online reminiscing about this from their younger year's there must be some (at least attempted) freaky bedroom roleplay that involves playing this 📼, seeing as there are verious points in the recording where the actor either speaks or shouts at the viewer. I was hesitant about writing this but that guy in the commercial seriously (acting of course) saying "yes my gatekeeper" proved to be too tempting not to type. 💀 Nightmare fun times⚰️🦇🕷️🕸️🎃!!!
i played this when I was little i just remember it was hard to win but it was really awesome .... i think 6 ppl r needed to have a full game and finish on time am i right ?? because i remember with 3 ppl it took a while to win ??
@frank3l I'm from the U.S. & taped it here, so other than the U.S. I'm not sure where else it was sold. I'm guessing it must have been sold in Canada too at minimum. I wouldn't be surprised if it was sold in the UK too.
It is, but when trying to bring the series over to the UK, they couldn't use Nightmare due to a TV series at the time using the same name. So that prompted them to renamed it to Atmosfear.
@wtcvidman holy smokes quick reply. 5 seconds... lol. yea i mean they look similar but the "gate keeper" is different and in the ones i have he has no accent. the board from what i see is different to. wicked game though.
