And then you did the same thing to the Punto GT, squeezing out something like 228 hp, which combined with a longer fifth gear made not only stupid quick off the line but also fast in the straight line. You were probably the best Fiat tuning company back in the day.
My dad had one of these in the late nineties. I was still fairly young but this video made the memories come flooding back. This car used to scare me but I loved it. Watching this made me smile nonstop.
In albania we used to have sooo much of this Fiat Uno and Renault 'Reno' Clio modified. It was just the best. With Gabry Ponte, Gigi D'Alessio ect cassettes (not yet CD compact) Aaaaahhh the good old days tho! 🙌🏻😄🥳
Wow, wow, wow...This is cool, never could not even think Novitec was doing like these...So cool to see like this history. Thanks for sharing and music was from start so good 5/5, edit is 5/5, only down side is the camera moves a little too fast
Really great, pure driving experience! Would you do something similar to a beloved japanese car to achieve a little more power and a deeper sound, maybe some carbon goodies 🤔😎
Would really like a comprehensive video on the history of Novitec. I believe you guys started out with econo boxes primarily? And slowly moved to super cars. That journey from modest to upper echelon would be great to learn about.
I have a question to another video from your channel. I really would like to know how you make the sound (abgasanlage) of the Aventador SVJ road legal. I like this car so much but it is still a miracle for me how it works.
Restomod??..
hello, try it on a dry road 0-100 in 7 seconds made them original with just over 100 hp I own one and it's really fun is still respected today but in the wet it is really slow and dangerous! Nice video, a greeting from Italy! CIAO !!
3rd!! Lol Bijon are you South African? I can't tell, it really seems like it but I feel like there's a hint of.. not sure what 😋 kasam South African and if you are I'm hella curious as to how you got this gig!? 🤔
@@OfficialNovitec dankie man! Not just SA but beautiful Cape town! Well the weather is beautiful today which makes up for loadshedding hahaha ah.. lol thanks for the reply and keep up the great work, loving the diaries series!
Updated version would be cool and better paint job, finish off the build and wheel. 7 secs in the wet with low boost shifts is very impressive so needs a dry run and proper gear. Uno T deserves more respect to be honest only 200ts could take it back in the days
there is one way to do 1.6litre engine from an 1.4litre, but it was not able to do it in 1992 because the crankshaft doesnt existed thentime for that mod unable to overbore the standard engine by 6mm, because the oilfeed line for the turbo is going between(!!) the 2nd and 3rd cylinders from the frontside oil line to the backside to the turbo there is no room for it in the 1.6litre 86,4mm bore engines, because the 2nd and 3rd cylinder walls are too close to each other...not like with the 80,5mm bore 1.4litre the 78,4mm long stroke crankshaft didnt existed until 1999-2000, just when the Euro3 182B6000 1.6 16v (1581ccm) engines arrived to some markets but...with that crank and the 1999-2007 Suzuki Hayabusa 81mm sized pistons 😉 is doable the 1.6 litre stroker modofication just needs some machine works too, in the inner bottom end, to free turnaround of the conrods...easier to do it with H-beam 4340 CrMo conrods with 81mm short 'busha pistons, and the 78,4mm stroke crank you have an 1601ccm engine this way bottom end's top need to be skimmed by ~1.5mm skim some even from head to have a good CR rate, or use PuntoGT "GT3" style head, wich are flat (not like the UnoTie or the PGT's "GT1-GT2" heads are) anyway the, piston needs to be shorter over the pin as the standards are at least 5.5-6mms but.....its a far-far easier job for this just get an 1.6 litre 1581ccm 128 class SOHC Tipo/Tempra engine (but not the 1585ccm Twincam engine) it has 9,2:1 CR, wich is OK (GT3 engines have 9:1) and then build it up with PuntoGT parts that: -the oilsump for the oil return from the turbo -PGT 215mm diameter flywheel -PGT 215mm clutch -PGT gearbox (it has a longer 5th gear) -PGT exhaust manifold/collector -PGT intake... -NGK BCPR7ET "GT3" spark plugs -brand new spark leads -turbo's water cooling pipes get from the cabin heating lines ... -all the sealings, gaskets etc....need to be replaced for new ones, no question plus: -front intercooler is a must have, and use just silicone pipes for it, forget the stock ones -even the radiator need to be upgraded in size, as large as just fits in, and ~40mm in thickness, to have more coolant volume in it -oilcooler 2,5-3x size as the standard is, to be any time in safe oil temps (=less than 100 degC) even in summer when it is 30+ degC outside and the asphalt is over 50 degC -use 5W-50 or 10W-60 oil, with MoS2 oil additives, and change it after 5-6k kms ...any overheating is killer for a turbo engine recommended: -284mm diameter front brakes, 240mm on rear + braided brake lines + DOT5.1 fluid... the front brakes need to have 15" wheels at least for that -limited slip diff into the gearbox, with 75W-140(!!) oil -Eibach springs + Bilsteins...or any other, front+rear upper strut braces -PU bushings on front-rear Anti-Roll bars -turbo airfeed pipe 60-63mm with a laaaarge sized airfilter this way at 1,35-1,4bar pressure you have easy 240-250HP and 330-340Nm torque for a less than 1 ton weighting car 😜😜😜😜
😲 Was soll das denn? Ist NOVITEC jetzt zu fein und edel das man das nicht in Deutsch machen kann?
