Why cant the BTCC be like this anymore? I was a toddler when this happened and used to LOVE touring cars (cos they looked like 'real cars') - the early 90s was when the BTCC was at its peak. Fierce, epic racing and cars that looked just like your dad's (my Dad had 2 Cavaliers) until Alfa came along with their retractable wings and started the downfall. And can remember Kieth O'Dor (RIP)'s crash even then!
Cunts, Leftis and Greenlings won... because we guys lost the war on the home front... the winner has a cunt and is sitting on your couch right next to you, steering your head just with her eyes!!! Just give a fuck about cunts and fucking and you got your life back :)
Ooooookay, I've never watched racing but now I know what Clarkson was on about. I don't watch it cause its not even close to this level of excitement nowadays! All hail the mighty Peugeot! :)
+Paul S. The BTCC races from the 90s are absolutely epic. Hands down the best racing ive watched, constant overtaking, pushing, chasing and ofcourse straight up crashing the opponents.
Back when Super Touring Cars were at there best, NO aero, with the cars looking like what you could buy at you local dealership. The lack of aero meant they could follow close, not like today.....
Je vendrait un rein pour avoir cette 405 mi 16s qui pour moi a etait l une des meilleurs berline que peugeot a fabriqué une vraie résistantes cette 405 mi 16s
RIP KIETH ODOR!!!! I never could forget you!!! Saw your fatal live at DSF on the Avus... I was 10 years old... It was the third fatal crash I had seen by then... Still cant forget the moment Frank Biela hit him... Probably never will... RIP KIETH!!!
I bet John was a little sad that Tim Harvey and particularly Steve Soper weren't running in this race. I'm sure he fancied a bit of retribution after the final round of the championship. It's also interesting to see the (mostly) gentlemanly nature of the racing here. This was before the big budgets arrived and the championship moved to super touring regulations. That's when teams and drivers started to adopt a "to hell with it and win at all costs" attitude.
