Totally agree with your comments. When I was a kid, I couldn't wait for RPM on Thursday nights on UTV. I'm watching a wrc highlights show now on ITV, its not a patch on Plum Tyndall and his teams programmes.

@@lancia1988 Absolutely. Plum presented our sport as a serious sport worthy of serious people. His programmes never portrayed rally people as boy racers out on stages looking for kicks, but rather as committed sports people, well prepared, dedicated and conscientious. It was all in Plum’s editing style, his choice of music and imagery to set the scene, his earnestly serious interview technique. No smirking, no looking for cheap laughs, just a respectable portrayal of what it was like to compete in a sport that Plum managed to make look as popular and important as GAA or horse racing. I still prefer to watch Plum’s programmes from the 80s and 90s than a lot of what has been produced since, particularly what was produced for the National Championship over the last 20 years.
