They say there's nothing more expensive than a cheap Mercedes, but against my better judgement, this is one I couldn't say no to. So lets see where this goes.

Nice car indeed. I drive a S124 280TE from '93. Fixed some minor issues and do some rust repair. Other than that is is still a great driving car. Compare it with a todays car and i prefer to drive the Benz!

Never get rid of it! Buy up 4matic axles, even if you have to finance it.

Sadly the 4matic was sold on to its new owner ~2 years ago after I finished restoring it to a roadworthy state. Currently working on a w126 420sel.

If this is a 93, why does it have the old leather in it? These cigar style leather seats have been replaced about 1988 (in Europe).

93 was the last year of this style for NA spec cars. The seats are also MB Tex, not leather, so the pattern will be different. 94/95 year cars for the full facelift in our market. The 93 models for the m104 here, but kept the pre facelift styling with a few exceptions. This being a 4matic, kept the m103

No, T stands for Touring. Which is Mercedes speak for wagon.

Actually you have a 300TD. Mercedes never badged a car “300TDT”. That’s why on the back it says “300TD Turbo Diesel” The “T” is for touring and the “D” is for diesel. There is no single letter badge for turbo. Which is why it says Turbo Diesel on the other side, or on some models depending on the year, it just says turbo on the other side. Calling it a 300TDT is a common mistake and misconception.

@@sngods I've actually sold this car so I can't make more videos wth it. I'm more than happy to try and answer questions though. Are you referring to raising or lowering the SLS ride hight?
