After dropping the first two games at home, the White Sox collected themselves, and rebounded to capture Game Three in Toronto behind starting pitcher Wilson Alvarez. Alvarez, making his postseason debut, tossed a complete-game, one-run ... well, it wasn't exactly a gem, but it was effective enough to get Chicago back into the series.

It’s a shame that Bo Jackson didn’t make it to the World Series. This was as close as he got! What a team that 93 White Sox was!

I want to know if you can upload 1996 ALCS Game 5 with the postgame included? Mainly to see if the ALCS MVP award still had that early half of the 1990s design.

I think TOR was stealing signs in game 5 when they were about to get swept at home and go back to CHI down 3-2. But at the very least he was tipping his pitches a bit, and that's why they lost both his starts. The Sox made a good series of it in spite of a few no-shows on offense and two subpar starts from Black Jack. It shows TOR wasn't the juggernaut people remember them as. Karkovice, Jackson, Pasqua, and Cora produced 3 singles in 53 AB's, all from Cora. Frank didn't choke but because these guys were never on base they walked him 10 times. His OBP for the series was .593.

@@guyincognito320 they had one hell of a lineup though, if u remember as it seems like u do, the W.S was an rbi fest. Curt had a good game five but ur right sox had couple no-shows on offense

@@guyincognito320 Toronto was an *offensive* juggernaut but pitching-wise they were ordinary. One thing that helped was Duane Ward was God mode that year (and unfortunately in the process burned his arm out for good) so if the Jays could win the 8 inning game, they'd won the game. Not enough people talk about the fact that the #1, 2, *and* 3 hitters for average in AL were on the team that year. Hadn't been done in 100 years and hasn't been done since.
