32:15…6inches off plate and below the knees, Yet Braves Get handed strike calls! Bonilla hits a “strike” 2 feet off the plate and drives in a run anyway before this, so that was the difference! Marlins hitters were able to hit anything and braves couldn’t! Same strike zone the ENTIRE game! Hell, Maddux likely had more balls called strikes than Livan did and STILL got his ass beat!
16:06 IN THE FIRST INNING and BEFORE all the called strikes, Jones swinging at a ball a mile away! So there goes the excuse! Braves were swinging outs on over half of OUR MVPs 15 Ks! So, WHY would u swing? Idiots that went 6-12 against YOUR WORLD CHAMPS!!
Oh, then McGWUFF Does the SAME THING! Livan just had a nasty breaking ball and they just couldn’t hit it! Make all excuses you want, Braves totally could not handle the Marlins! They were way too tough for them! They go 6-12 against the Marlins in 97…OUCH!
Love coming back every yr to hear all u sissy braves EXCUSES LMFAO! Maddux got SO MANY strike calls too! Braves were just not as good as Florida! Period. 12-6 Florida went against those bitches! 12-6! So, explain that and explain how braves STILL couldn’t win in game 6 either?!? What’s that excuse, U morons?! Lmfao! YOUR MVP AND YOUR WORLD CHAMP, Livan HERNANDEZZZZZZ!!! YOUR record Holder for strikeouts too!
Orioles had so many chances to win this game and should've the series, sometimes the best team doesn't always win. As a Orioles fan it sucked but give credit to the Indians they made the pitches when it needed to be made
Great commercials. The jays teams from the mid 80s to mid 90s underachieved for the teams they fielded. That club should've had 4 WS in those 10 years.
Orioles were not in a good matter of hands in 2nd consecutive ALCS. Last season in New York when a fan got involved and no fan interference to allow the Yankees won that and the series 4-1.
Not into dudes, but the #Chisox #Hriniak swings are sexy. Later when I was battin 4th for beer league softball would add a slight booty wiggle to go along with 'coilback' and bat shoulder taps for the ladies😅 BTW #JimKaatHOF would bring up Hriniak incessantly during his tenure with #TwinsMLB '88 season when he was TV broadcaster #KMSP #WCCO2 #MSFCTV #MSC In HS unfortunately I was taught to have weight to the front foot, all screwed up😮
While this might have been the worst strike zone I've ever seen, check out how wide the batter's box's are?? The right handed box's inside is about the same place where the outside line should have been. That back line must have been 6 feet from the inside of the plate.
It’s so ironic that the commentators were talking about Eckersley and the back door slider to Gibson in 1988 that was a game-winning homer -then immediately Roberto Alamar does the same thing to the back door slider from Eckersley. Straight out of the park. The only difference was this was to tie the game.
Yet another thing we'll never see again: a daytime post-season game. The greed of baseball outweighs everything else now. Notable that Wells won this game - the Yankees would nab him and he'd be arguably the best pitcher on their 1998 championship team.
I don't get why the Yankees tried to tag out Cora on that bunt... It was obvious by the time they got to the ball they couldn't catch him but if they had thrown it to first they had a decent chance to get him out
I was there. my b-day is september eighteenth, and there is a picture of me with unopened presents and my brother on the phone trying to get sox playoff tickets, long phone cord and all!
Great game. The 92 & 93 Blue Jays were a powerhouse. As per this telecast, Jim Kaat is one of my favorite all time colour commentators, but Greg Gumbal was a very weak play-by-play announcer, with his annoying high rather squeaky voice, and no true feel for the game of baseball.
so much of baseball is the camera shot from center field, the pitcher vs the hitter, and the "view" at new comiskey was garbage. You see few fans on rhe periphery, but you mostly see a tunnel, security guards, how this was an oversight for the architect is unreal. great stadiums, the view behind the plate is nothing but fans, new comiskey the view behind the plate is a sink full of dirty dishes, a pile a dirty laundry.
My time of year to come back and reminisce on how great it was to see those lowly braves MANHANDLED! Maddux got the privilege of a wide strike zone and couldn’t capitalize, but Livan did and he and the better team SPANKED those dipshits! Game 6 and we anal probed those dipshits and got our NL championship! Love it! How’s come Maddux couldn’t handle the strike zone? He sure got the same strike zone! Livan YOUR NLCS MVP, Atlanta!
I was at a baseball card show during the final game. There was a mounted TV hanging on the wall and everyone went crazy when Alomar got that series winning hit.
