those 5.0s are durable cars, I had a '88 gt conv. drove it to 236k miles, ran like new but body got rusted. Scottie that black gt on the left would be a nice car to cover if you can.
Nearly bought a similar teal Cobra back in '93, it had all the options, sunroof, CD player & gray leather interior(I am sure all the power stuff was standard on Cobras). It stickered at just over $22,000(about $35000 nowadays). Wish I had bought it! Well, maybe one day I will, although my 2009 GT with the glasstop in candy red isn't too shabby either :)
Actually they all were not optioned out, mine only has the power seat of all the options. Available options were Power seat, CD player, Sunroof, Rear window defroster, Leather seats, and Engine block heater. The owner mentioned cruise control in the video, but that was not available.
Not much...I lowered it...blacked out all the stuff I could...cut the mufflers out...k&n filter...carbon fiber on the interior...there is videos of it up here...ck them out when you have time...
Nice car but you can still easily find them. The notchback on the other hand is getting impossible to find in nice condition.Beside the 93 cobraR the notchback will be valued the highest.
I wanted to keep it as stock as possible just for value, I bought some smoked headlights and a chin spoiler for it, and a mach 1 grille delete, but over all its stock. I would kill for an 03-04 cobra, theyre literally my favorite car ever made. One day, one day... hahahah
ya,, of the 3 colors available,,, Black (my buddy had one, and traded it in for a 96 Z28,, IDIOT), RED,,, and Teal... and i also agree.. the teal was the best color. although i would love a clean original one in any of the 3 colors,,
I wish I lived closer to these shows, It'd be cool to run into you, I just got a 1999 35th Anniversary Limited Edition Mustang GT 1 of 1555 Id love to have in your collection, super great videos man, love seeing them!
Nice Teal Cobra There was a time when my brother had a teal 91 camaro, my brother-inlaw had a teal 96 S-10 pickup and I had a 87 Fiero that the previous owner painted GM teal. It was a popular color in the 90s
I just got word back It took forever to find the actual build number, its 2461, no problem man, keep the video's coming, and I mean if you ever find a 2003-2004 Cobra... well you know LOL. Great stuff
A couple of months ago i saw a 1993 mustang cobra for sale it was very similar to this one,, but i dont know if it a unique one.. if it was,, who ever bought it is a very lucky man
Teal and Calypso green are different colors. Calypso Green is way more green, the Teal is more of a blue metallic color and only used on the Cobra. Calypso Green (imo) is one of the best colors on a fox and was only used on the LX and Saleen models. Ford also put similar colors on the fox bodies like Ultra Blue and Reef Blue
I have a black 93 cobra, too bad I do not have time for it. It sit in my garage collecting dust with a mileage of 3,900 on it I wish I have the time to take on a car show sometimes.
@@romeoandrada5398 nice! If you ever think of selling it, please keep me in mind. I was young when my older brother had his 93 cobra and I wanted one since. If you don't mind me asking, what color is the interior?
@@armandoibarra1984 The interior color is grey and still have the factory lot number on the windshield and interior still have origial fresh smell out factory. And this car is garage kept, NEVER SEEN RAIN.
Not sure about the "cobra" heads. But if its made for a 302 then it can fit a 351 windsor. Most aftermarket heads for a sbf have the bigger head bolt holes anyways. The newer cobra's (94-95) had 351w in them and those heads may be aluminum. Not sure.
Only the '95 Cobra R had a 351. And, your suspicions are correct about head bolt sizes between a 302 and a 351. While the heads are interchangeable the bolt holes for a 351 are larger.
Even though they were only 235 hp they still had 280 ft-lbs of torque which was significant for such a light car. By comparison a bigger and heavier 2005 mustang GT had 320 ft-lbs of torque.
Btw. I have a 90' gt that I'm restoring. I've had it since 2002 and it only has 93 thousand miles on it. It's only down fall is its been baking in the South Georgia sun for 13 years. ( I know I'm an idiot for that ). Anyway, great video. I'm subscribing now. Keep um comin brother!!
Do you know what ford dealer this car was bought at? I had one exactly like that but was stupid and traded it in for a 96 Cobra. I bought mine form Rice and Holman in MtLaurel(Now Maple Shade) NJ
Thanks for all the compliments on my Teal/Black 1993 Cobra, I would like to correct one mistake I made while filming this video, I was a bit nervous, and I said I purchased the car in NJ but I actually purchased it in NY. Sorry guys just thought I would correct my mistake. Good luck with all your builds!
They only made 368 teal Cobras with gray interior that year, which was the last for the fox body. This is a very rare car, shocked at how immaculate it is. If he would have sold it to the other guy after agreeing, yeah, I'd a been really pissed off. Sweet ride, take care of it.
Very nice Cobra! My buddy use to have a Teal w/gray interior. I thought his was the nicest I had ever see until yours! They are rated at 235hp, we dyno'd his with cold air intake, 2-chamber flowmasters and 3:55 gears. He got 267 rwhp and 338 rwtq. We had this car tuned and running perfect. We did take it to Rock Falls Wisconsin in 2002 and ran no slower than a 13.20 at 106mph and best was a 12.98 @ 106! Here is a link to the video I posted a while ago with the 12 sec run. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-gR_gDl1TTkY.html Really nice car you have!! Glad to see this car being taken care of. For all the people that think these cars arent really much faster than a lx/gt, WRONG :)
Crap, here it is!:) I just watched his dad's car, but I prefer this one MUCH more! Mine was identical, except mine had the grey leather. Man I miss that car!
Can't stay away from these videos, I still regret not being able to keep mine back in late 93! Having mine was some of the most fun 6 months of my life! Still my dream car. I can't wait to see some this coming weekend at the Fabulous Fords Forever show!:)
Mine was a daily driver for the first 6 years of its life, luckily living in AZ, CA, NV and NM during those years I have no snow use on her. Now babied with 74k on it, but still take her out once in a while to car shows or for a spirited drive. Went to car show this summer and put 300 miles on her, I love to drive that car!
