Unbelievable John Dowd, the two moto wins that day in front of his fans and with LaRocco, Stanton, McGrath etc around , The Junk yard Dog is the most inspirational mx racer imho, first (amateur) race at age 20... when the most talented racers where already factory pro racer at 16 ... that race was the end of Jeff Stanton' career (penultimate' race) at age 26, Dowd was 29 and not a factory racer yet ...
