Best intro ever, they should bring it back to create atmosphere as in the 90-ties. I am knicks fan since 1994 and it was a great time hopefully this year as well
I could die watching this... JOHN STARKS!!! he's the reason I got into basketball, in 1994. Basketball changed my life, I will always be grateful to him for that
Back when he was Welcomed at The Garden, the Knick's Enforcer.. basketball lexicon would have been changed had they won Game 6 or Game 7, after a 3-2 lead in the 1994 NBA Finals
Goosebumps. What could have been. This was when OJ was driving in the Bronco..the Rangers won it all with Richter standing on his head and Knicks were so damn close. This fan base is starving more than any other I can think of for a contending team again. Damn.
Not happening as long as that turd James Dolan is calling the shots, no matter what though! That unless they can find a way to get Kevin Durant, but even then will need more than him to come even close to making the Finals again anytime soon however.
OMG i thought i was the only one that noticed that hahahaahha.... man tht guy was such bad fit and underachiever. talk about a huge regret in trading for him
@@devangpatel5227 Yeah, and he sure was a huge face with the Knicks not being able to win the big one, when they had their chances back in the day too!
it's all about soul, like that sign in the crowd said... i got chills back then, get chills now, and will always get chills seeing and hearing this intro
I can understand why, and I say it as a Suns fan myself. Rivals the theme the Phoenix Suns used for TV broadcasting in the 1990's (and early 2000's) and the obvious Sirius in terms of awesomeness to me!
that intro still gives me goosebumps to this day. I watched this live when it happened and JOOOOOOHHHHHNNNNN STARKS!!!!!! got me pumped. My favorite guy on that team because he was an all heart and soul kind of player and Knicks fans appreciated him and his journey to even get to the NBA. I truly believe if Ewing had gotten this team around him before his knees starting having issues they would have won this finals hands down but Hakeem was just a healthier and more athletic guy than Ewing was by then. Alot of people forget Ewing played injured this entire series and Starks had just come back from a major knee injury that would have had most players sitting out but he toughed it out for his team and they gave everything they had left.
Us Knicks fans will never see a team like this. Even though Charles Smith was a dud but the rest of the team was big. Mason coming off the bench played a big role on the winning of this team. If Pat Riley would of been given the control of the team and he would of drafted the quality players Patrick Ewing could of gotten his ring.

I used to needle my buddy who was a huge Knicks fan when those "It's all about heart" banners would show and tell him that's code for "we have no talent."
I'm a Fan of the Spurs, but I still feel sorry for Ewing because of the injury. Both teams could have played a more exciting series rather than ending it 4-1. Duncan versus Ewing would have been great
At 7 Feet from Georgetown, Number 33, CO-CAPTAIN, PA-TRICK EWING!! The Head Trainer is Mike Saunders The Assistant Trainer, Tim Walsh Assistant Coaches, Dick Carter and Jeff Van Gundy And the Head Coach of the Knicks, Pat Riley!!
Thanks mostly to an epicly bad game 7 by Starks. He just wouldn't stop throwing up bricks. Otherwise, the outcome would have been different. But it happened and they lost. No rewriting history.
