I own a B5 1.8T which was indeed very quiet and smooth (Before I modified it lol) and it has some punch too! I bet you the N/A variants can give a smile on your face too, lovely engines both the NA and Turbo models
My 1.9 TDI '96 has 100k miles, kept in absolute pristine shape both visual and technical wise. This and Audi 80 are my favorite cars in the world, the last Audis with true soul.
Vor über 15 Jahren ist genau so einer A4 mein erstes eigenes Auto geworden. Wir hatten viel Spaß mit ihm, und bis auf Kleinigkeiten war er sehr zuverlässig, kein Rost, keine Elektronikprobleme (da er kaum Elektronik hatte😂). Es war eine wirklich schöne Zeit damals, ich anfang 20, keine Probleme und Sorgen, nur ich, meine Freundin und der Audi ständig irgendwo unterwegs😊 Danke fürs Video, hab mich sofort an gute alten Zeiten erinnert❤
@@lukasggda zaaaaraz, dopiero obejrzałem to przyspieszenie o którym mowa. Z całym szacunkiem dla autora kanału, który lubię oglądać, ale ten "test" g*wno mówi. Delikatny start, "dziadkowe", powolne zmiany biegów i zmiana 1>2 przy niecałych 5k obrotów? To jest test 0-100? Dużo, bardzo dużo się da urwać. To nie wina egzemplarza. Akurat patrząc na jego "ciąg" pomiędzy zmianami biegów, nie jest źle :) Ale oczywiście rozumiem, że gość nagrywa pożyczane auta i chce je traktować mniej więcej z szacunkiem. Popieram i szanuję, no ale miarodajnego 0-100 tak nie nagrasz... :)
Hi Joe Well that got me remembering the time my youngest son bought an Octavia, I think It was a VRS, that was the 1.8 brilliant car and a cracking engine, and in my humble opinion, to me probably the best petrol engine VW made ( I'm going to get a real slagging off for that but I'm a big boy now). Thanks Joe well up to the high standard we take for granted. More please when you can.
That's so impressive. 👍 I don't have a passion for VAG group, like some other brands, but I genuinely think they are the best in the business. It's so quiet and smooth, even by modern standards and it looks good. For a daily car, it's all you need.
@@swiezyxd516 miałeś problem w 2000 roku, kiedy części do zawiasu kosztowały krocie w porównaniu do zarobków. Teraz jest cała masa zamienników i remont zawieszenia robisz za psi chuj. Cały przód można zrobić na całkiem dobrych gratach za 1200 ziko. Jeśli miałbym wskazać jakieś problemy to już raczej będą pękające odmy i problemy ze smarowaniem w 1.8 ADR, szybko zużywające się tylne łożyska, czy rozklejające się boczki drzwi, a nie zawieszenie

Mine is 400 k km, 20 years in my family, never been seviced properly, many times hit, still drives 0-100 12 sec, still consume 10 /100km, broke down several times, but never failed to bring us back home. I once loaded and delivered 950 kilo. Car is super determined.
Just bought a 1998 A4. Dark grey. Just 70,000 for £950. Lovely car. Never driven a car so soft and smooth. Steering is so positive even after all these years. Although I am tempted to tweak it's image a bit.
Man merkt halt das ist noch einer der ersten b5 Reihen von bj 95 und er ist einfach nur slow wenn ich bei meinen 1.8l bj 99 ( facelift) so aufs Gas trette der geht bedeutend schneller ab

I have exactly this Audi and I have such a problem. LCD displays (main and two small on the dials) are black after start-up. When I start, the displays light up for a second, but then go out. Can you advise me on this problem? Thank you for advice.

Aż ciężko uwierzyć że od premiery tego auta minęło 27 lat. Gdyby zapytać kogoś niewtajemniczego w motoryzacji to powiedziałby że 20, góra 23 lata. Naprawdę nie dociera do mnie, że wkrótce minie 30 lat. Nie wiem czy jest lepiej starzejące się auto z tamtych czasów. Zresztą to była jakość, patrząc na to ile tych aut wciąż jeździ po drogach jest tylko jej odzwierciedleniem
And he doesn’t push it to the max. I have the same engine in my b5, I’ve done a measurement and with full tank I measured roughly 10sec to 100kph. You have to push hard the first and second gear to minimise time loss
i have a4 b5 and a4 b8. I like more the b5 its simply,strong,reliable,cheap for maintenance and repair.Its a ideal car ❤. The b8 is fragile 😄expensive unreliable and problematic car 😀
