Seton's response was spot on! It is usual for JB to blame someone or something else. The guy has never made a driving mistake in his life.... just ask him. If jb drove as well as he complained he'd have won a lot more. I've been on a marathon bathurst watching session and every time John is interviewed he complains about something or someone. When I say every time I really mean every time. Having watched so many back to back in a short period of time it really stands out how much he sooks and complains. The guy could drive no doubt about that but his real talent is complaining.
Did part 3/4 get removed by supercars again? 😔 is there anywhere I could find that bit, another website maybe? Or even the whole race uncut from start to finish?
I prefer the drivers back in these days I remember it well but how slow are these cars compared to today Jesus Wayne gardner was doing 2.17 at one point now there doing 2.06 race pace in 2021 the cars were more like the road going version alot more like it in fact that's what I love about this era it was a great time to be alive it really was
note to JB at 1:58:00 reason you got turned around is you blocked Glenn by moving over when he's up the inside you were a good foot wide of the tradtional racing line.
Yep, agreed. You cant weave when there is overlap and there was no other reason for Bowe to move right other than to block. it was an ill judged move by Bowe.
As much as I appreciate what DJ and JB have done for motorsport, I think they may have held themselves in too high a regard during this era. Respect for trying to "own it" but I recall thinking at the time " geez big shoots, how 'bout you turn it down 20%". I stand by that critique and believe both those guys have matured significantly and are justly seen as pin-up boys destined for the hall of fame. It's hard to imagine the levels of intensity involved with this level of motorsport, so I still don't like being critical of others with way more ability than me, so, there's that.....
It bit Seton on to ass too cause he blow his engine , then Holden took the lead and Larry Perkins won the race from last to First GO HOLDEN you Beautiful Beast , lol ....
Interesting hearing Brock talk at 53:10, seems to have a very different take on the mechanical troubles and impact of the crash in the shootout to Mezera when he spoke about it a few years ago.
@kennymiesta513 Just wondering if you are able to get 1995 Bathurst 1000 [2/4] up or are there still some problems with it being blocked , as I have noticed from some of the comments ? I love the footage that you have put up, so far. Just wondering if you have full race for 1988 Sandown 500 and Bathurst ?
Unfortunately when the video's get taken down I don't have a say in it :( I do have the '88 Bathurst race but not Sandown. I don't have access to the DVD at the moment, but the V8Sleuth has the full race for sale on their website.
1:51:21 'I don't believe he touched him.. he hit him but I think John lost it'.. good 'ol Moffat commentary. 1:58:06 Seton was spot on.. Bowe was a demon at defensive driving, often holding up faster cars lap after lap, as he did to Seton for laps and moved off the racing line to block Seton from passing and paid the price.. stiff one Bowie; this really should have been the year for Seton, only for his engine to let him down right at the end.
I've had them up in the past, and they have all been taken down for one reason. I will try again at some stage, but at this stage I don't have any plans to put them up again. When I pull out the DVD's from that year again I'll grab them out and see if I can put them up
You could say that there was change in the air when tobacco advertising was sin binned after 1995. But rules are rules and drivers had to find other sponsors
@@adrianstephens4421 the DVD it is on is hidden away in a box at the moment. I could dig it out, but it won't be for a little while unfortunately. The race itself is now for sale on the V8 Sleuth website if you are not wanting to wait.
