If i read correctly the O'Brien/Callaghan #36 everlast VR was the last commodore to ever race in the '1000 with a holden V8 powering it - i do wonder if hes using butterflies or the old Group A twin throts from the VL since the motor came from the VL used the year before because the slide throttles got banned after perkins destroyed everyone with it in '93
yeah i do. It is called 'The Great Race'. I'm not sure if I will upload anything off it yet, due to copyright infringements, but if I can get consent to upload it, I definately will be :)
unfortunately I dont. I only have Bathurst as far back as 1984. I would love to get my hands on copies of earlier Bathurst races though, but havent yet been able to find any. I only have highlights video's
I think you would find it was quite 300kph, I have been watching these races for many years, None of the cars have been at or over 300, best ones hit around 292--293, even then it only briefly before having to brake for caltex chase.
@@kennymiesta513 An alternative to RU-vid. Although still in its infancy it's going to be a better alternative in the long run. Google is getting too big for its boots.
Unfortunately I don't have the file on my computer at the moment. The original file was blocked on copyright grounds. One day I will re-upload it again.
"Poor John, he's put so much effort into this car" Maybe if he wasn't such a dickhead he wouldn't have crashed it then! Common sense HAS to prevail in these conditions. He got what he deserved for speeding under safety car. I'm sorry Allan, but karma is a bitch to those willing to push it.
Allan. You have no clue what it is like to live in Tasmania. Especially Hobart. If you look at the rain averages you’ll see that Hobart is second only to Adelaide in Australia’s driest capital city of Australia. We may have more frequent rain, but it is rarely more than a shower. A couple of mm a week is a good week.
