I have a doubt. I know two VW group diesel engines with 75 CV. One of them was the 2.0 SDI with 75 CV and the other the 1.9 TD with 75 CV and indirect injection. Was there a version of the 1.9 TDI with 75 CV only? Good video!!!
Hi David. I haven't had access to vehicle registration document this time so only based on the owner assertion. It might be his little mistake and it should be 1.9TD instead of 1.9TDi. @@davidcasas3862 I know. But you're absolutely right about it. I had a little doubts too coz' as far as I can remember cannot recall 1.9tdi with 75hp I really appreciate it David. Today night test of GLA in pretty rare original colour. Enjoy 😉👍
my father had the wagon version with the 75 hp tdi engine. other than being relatively sturdy and roomy it was a horrible car, very loud droning engine and whenever you hit a bump the back of the car banged and clattered so loud that it was almost comical. and on speeds higher than 80 kph talking normally was impossible. a gas engine and choosing sedan body propably helps alot with these problems but instead of the passat new in the 90s, you should have rather bought the cheapest wagon on the market, because then atleast the cheap feel makes sense.
My dad owned one for 22 years. It was 115hp gasoline engine. And it was really good car. He kept it well and got it sold for someone to use still! I dont remember it being so loud at the back and for the time it was really solid drive even for 120 km/h speeds so I dont relate to that. Comparing it to modern cars yeah, its loud but the gas engine maybe wasnt as loud then. And I dont remember the suspension being that bad either.
@@TuomioK the tdi is always hailed as this amazing engine, but honestly it seemed terrible to me in anything but fuel economy. and yeah the suspension wasnt bad per se but it wasnt great either! very mediocre. the build quality of the interiour was cheap feeling and clattering - that was the biggest problem! the e30 wagon and later volvo v40 wagon of my grandpa were a whole different world! much nicer.
