Can you elaborate on the black, red, orange and yellow wires Location please?

Hi there. The general concept when connecting the vehicle wiring harness to the stereo harness is that you match the colors. So black connects to black, red connects to red, orange to orange, and yellow to yellow. You can confirm these color connections by looking at the documentation that comes with the radio and the vehicle wiring harness. In the radio manual, there should be a list of the function for each wire color, and the vehicle harness should come with a similar list on or in the packaging. In case the colors were off for some reason, the documentation would tell you which wire connects to which. So you would make sure that "front left speaker positive" on the stereo wiring harness connects to "front left speaker positive" of the vehicle harness.

Where did you get the harness that plugs in original harness. It seems to have the orange & white wire im looking for. I got one that said would fit 96 f150 at oreillys but it has solid orange wire which doesnt match up with the orange/white wire coming from radio

Hi Dylan, thanks for your comment. The harness I used was a Scosche FD02B. I'll add that info to the video description.

So no need for a dash kit? Just wore harness and deck?

Hi Christopher, thanks for your comment. Yes, all I needed was the stereo and the wiring harness. The stereo came with the metal housing that fits into the hole in the dash, and that is what secures the unit into place.
