1996 Ford Mondeo Mk2 1.6i Test Drive After 5 Years 

Ford absolutely knocked it out of the park with the Mondeo and Focus. The Focus especially was revolutionary. Especially with that 1.6 engine and the 5 speed.

@the Game, Review and Reallife Channel It is one of the most winning combinations ever put into a car. The Focus had excellent proportions. Good features that made sense and an amazing ride compared to previous offerings - independent rear suspension. etc Great stuff. The 90's were a hell of a time. I miss them every day.

Only revs to 4500 in the diesel and there is no point to going over 4000 you gain nothing.

@@drone_tours fifth generation fiesta April 1 2001 had ABS as standard according too Wikipedia. Abs standard on all focus.

@@drone_tours is it a UK model ? Is it broken or never had it from the factory build. Rather dangerous not having it if you brake hard the wheel just stop turning and you just skid for miles. Good for making a smoke cloud though

The new Mondeo got a 1L Eco Boost ... that sounds a bit more weird 😂 but yes the 1,6l is also a bit low.... the 1,8l is better in my opinion

@@timoschoening63 2L minimum I'd say and you cant really compare the modern 1L 3cyl with that old 1.6L

@@endlessroadie3131 Ok yes 2l is not bad at all. I drove the 1,8 till the Clutch was at its end... 270000km or so. To many other Defects so its got its peace ... never let me down till then... Its not a sportive car but it was close enough to keep good going. Sry for my english. I know that old 1,6l compares to a new 1l is not possible...for example the 1l got more HP but the Downsizing is not so useful in my eyes by such a "big" car ... i mean these motors surly won't see high milage in the Future .. in the Focus they had many Mistakes by now... I'm a Fordfan but these 3 Zylinder Motors ...i don't know...i like the Zetec and the old DOHC Efi Motors more...
