JK N Carly is one of the mot unique characters in soap history. As was Jason. They were created back when GH had a knack for creating unique, complex and fascinating characters. Not always likable, but still fascinating.
JK N oh, poo, there are many on GH that make Carly look like a rank amateur, one being Monica. She told so many lies, it got hard to keep up with them. Nearly everything Carly ever did, Monica had done first. Multiple extra marital affairs, breaking up other people’s marriages, lying about her child’s paternity, drugging a former lover and torturing him, and attempting to murder a former lover. She also faked her psycho son’s death and allowed her own grandson to be traumatized from believing he murdered his own father. Just a few of Monica’s actions.8Her list of offenses are every bit as long if not longer than, and every bit as egregious as Carly’s. But few people call Monica to account. She gets a pass and folks love her, while Carly is demonized. But then she is a TRUE QUARTERMAINE and as such always gets a pass. I am not excusing Carly for her mistakes because of what anyone else did, but it is a little annoying when fans act like Carly is the worst ever on GH when she is far from it. .
It was great writing when Jason nearly sidled up to Tony and blasted Tony with Jason's memories of how mad Jason was with Tony's 'treatment' after the accident. Totally delish!
Dr. Jones tries to intimidate Jason using the old Doctor/ patient relationship. He talks down to Jason and can’t seem to understand why he doesn’t knuckle under. He tries to insist that Carly go with him like he thinks he has the right to insist what She does. He forgets they are not in the hospital here and he has no power over Jason or Carly.
Tony Williams i did to but seeing this makes me mad because i hated what Carly said or did to Jason. Carly lied to Jason about things and she about jason and he forgive her over and over again and not robin his first love
angela morales AsJason once said, Carly could not wreck Him because he did not love her in that way. It was because he loved Robin so much that it was hard for him to forgive. She hurt him badly. He essentially lost Michael because of what she did. And he felt betrayed. I believe if she had stayed instead of going to Paris, he would have forgiven her. He couldn’t have helped himself. She really never gave him a chance to cool off and forgive her. She ran away.
He did nothing to Jason, but he didn’t do anything for him either. Once the crisis was over, Tony more less wrote Jason off. He claimed in court that he advised the Quartermaines to institutionalize him.
Carly is such a manipulative witch. Putting her child at risk being around Jason. That says a lot about her as a parent. She is nothing but a user and this is the beginning of turning Jason's life upside down. 🐝
Carly was broke, homeless,and 7-8 months pregnant. On top of that, one of the most respected surgeon and Doctor in the entire state. As well as the son of one of the richest most respected families period are actively trying to take her child. Her only friend at the time was Jason. Was she not suppose to ask for his help? Also doesn't it speak to her parenting abilities to ask for help then trying to raise a child in her position? (broke & homeless) Yes she turned Jason's life upside down but he chose for that to happen when he chose to agree to say he was the father.
Really. Trying to take her child? Still the age that mothers' have primary custody. Plus she was only with Tony to revenge on Bobby. And lie after lie after lie . . . and hooking Jason into her lying lair. This is definitely the beginning of ruining Jason character for me.
JK Nousak the quartermaines have judges on payroll, they have the best family court lawyers money can buy. Meanwhile Carly cant even buy her self a sugar packet if she wanted. How would that make her look to any judge. She was relying totally on tony, who cut her off and kicked her out. As for tony and Carly's relationship, she may have gone after him initially to get back at bobby. However she really did fall for him. She struggled for about a year to keep their relationship together. All the scenes are are on RU-vid if you care to watch them. She didn't web Jason in, at any point he could have told her No. He's adamant that every choice that effects him is his to make, an this is one of those choices. If you wanna be mad, be mad at him for agreeing.
Honestly this storyline was the worse especially when Jason should’ve never got involved, it was nice of him to give Carly a place to stay for awhile and everything but lying about being her baby’s father, I didn’t like that at all back then. Tony should’ve been the baby’s father because than he’d have rights to keep that baby away from Carly who’s unfit as a mother and human being.
For me I understand trying to protect her from Tony knowing they didn't have a great relationship but the siding with Carly over AJ knowing she drugged him and had him think he relapse. He gave Carly so grace, but couldn't do the same for AJ that really worked to give Jason the space he needed and was willing to accept him for who he became and he was willing to throw that away for Carly.
@shannonfields2740 Yeah well Carly doesn't lie to Jason. Because only Jason can get through to her unlike anyone else. Because Jason knows what he is getting into with Carly and immuned from the manipulation from Carly and that's why.
