Awesome vid! Convinced me to do the same to my 93. Understanding that the harness would need to be modified would it be better to use the newer injectors?
Was thinking about doing the same to my 95 grand Cherokee but I wasnt going to change the intake did it make a big difference for you changing the intake that is ,, and about how much did you spend on your project ?
quick question would slp loudmouth exhaust fit on a 99 grand cherokee? if so would it sound like a regular muscle car? or just louder then it is with the stocked exhaust I just want mines to sound aggressive and loud like a ss or a muscle
I couldn't tell you, I have no experoence or knowledge of that setup. I know though, that you need a V8 to get the exhaust note and frequency to sound similar to a traditional muscle car.
Haha the ABS is because my Ford 8.8 I swapped in had a different teeth count and I didn't feel like doing the mod to fix it so I just left the rear ABS sensor unplugged. That's why I get the code. As for the air bag I have NO idea, and the idiot light is because my AX-15 swap, my Jeep thinks it cant shift itself lol.
+Navyseal0009 I got mine from a auto wrecker near Saskastoon, SK, 3 hours from my city. I would suggest going that route. And get the newer style intake!
All the mistakes in this video and that’s the thing you point out?! Lol how about pointing at an intake air sensor and calling it an o2 sensor (a sensor that is only installed on the exhaust) or him not torquing the bolts not the intake/exhaust multiple times which ya what caused the strange noise at the end. How about not mentioning the different power steering pump that will need to be installed with the new intake, or the intake holes that will need to be ported to see actual decent boost. Maybe mention the 4 different castings of heads that your jeep could possibly have and how they relate to the exhaust and intake manifolds. Maybe the 6.5 hours to do a 3 hour job. I’m sorry but there was nowhere near enough research done for this video. The 25,000 mile remark is nothing in comparison.
+Andrew Ruotolo No you didn't. Not with hand tools. I've done this swap and welding that shit exhaust manifold so many times.. not once without an air ratchet and impact wrench at least, did I come in below 3 hours. You don't have to lie on RU-vid, buddy. Nobody cares how fast you can do it anyway.
Chris Wilson sorry you suck. I work on cars for a living, and being efficient does matter. and what fucking mechanic wouldn't use air I work out of a shop?
