Thank you so much for making this video. Over the years, a crack formed around the screws which my town's bumpy roads finally finished off one day as I was driving. Console fell straight down and scared the heck out of me. Managed to get a replacement part and needed to know how to install.
This video was helpful. I just bought buttons for the lights. I had no idea why they weren’t working when I installed. I didn’t know that little clicky thing had to go in the hole. When I bought the car (used) years ago, my lights never had buttons. So last week I decided to order some.
This was so helpful! We were unable to turn off the light in the rightside and were worried the light would eventually drain the car battery. We were able to easily remove the panel per your instructions. Thank you!!!
Thank you, thank you! Mine just suddenly started falling out the backside (turns out the plastic AROUND the screws broke) and needed to just remove the unit until i can afford to get a replacement. I suppose puttinga new one on is just doing these steps in reverse?
Wrong the trims do make a big difference, the EX and LX trims use different length bolts as the LX has a large plastic space between the bolt and the mounting hole. The EX has a recessed hole that is closer to the mounting holes. I know I have wasted over $200 getting the wrong parts from ebay.
Mine hit my on the head on the road because of an old crack and help with bass, where did you purchase yours I can’t find them anywhere and dealerships are too far
@@rexys3887 I purchased mine last Saturday! I actually got it from the pull-apart junk yard..You have to actually look through the cars, it was not hard to find, but I just kept looking inside the cars, & under the seats, & searching..I actually found it sitting on the hood, & I used my parts from my old one, that was missing & put 2 & 2 together! Hope that helps!
Hey man nice video .... btw do you know how to repair the switches on these? The right side of mine isn’t working I just bought a 99 Accord from my cousin so I don’t know shit bout these cars yet lol
Same issue here for the used Honda 2006 CRV LX I just got with the same kind of push on/off button switches & the right side won't click to on or off; need to see if it's the outer button, or the inner switch itself, that needs to be replaced. The Honda parts dealer I spoke with stated the entire console needed to be replaced, but I've read where one can have the outer &/or inner switch replaced depending on what's needed; usually ebay has Dorman inner switches & used outer buttons that will do the trick, but an installation guide for either repair is still needed.
@@dk60ish were you ever able to fix this? My 99 accord has the same issue - the passenger side light switch just pushes in without a click and doesn't turn on the light.
