IMPORTANT: In order to use this CDI you will have to disconnect your side stand kill switch. If not, the engine will shut down when you will fold it. Obvisously the kill switch in this CDI is working the opposite way from the genuine HONDA part.
The original 1998-2003 HONDA XLR 125 R DC CDI is vulnerable and expensive, suffering and sometimes randomly failing due to the heat coming from the cylinder head.
The OEM CDI is currently unavailable and a used CDI is usually 50-70€ if you are lucky to find one.
Let's try to swap it with a generic GY6 DC CDI.
