Thank you.. lost the keys to my 03 f350. The tow alone was gonna be over 200 bucks.. I was able to get it to start without the key ASAP however I been stuck on the wheel lock and your video is the first with any intelligible instruction I’ve come across
If he didn't over drill that access hole under the ignition is supposed to free up the pin holding the ignition in,once that pin is released without the key it will not totally free up the ignition you have to use a large screwdriver and wrench or sumn like tht to turn ignition over then it'll just wiggle out the whole tumbler will free up. No major damage at all.
If you keep the drill bit full of wheel bearing grease or some thing like it the metal cuttings will stay with the grease for the most part just make sure you put some thing under it so the grease doesn’t get on your carpet if it falls
There’s a better method without destroying the whole ignition system, take a t25 bit and take that tan plastic piece out on the underside left of the steering column, that’s the ignition switch, just flip it up and hold until it cranks
You don't drill nothing you push it up with a screwdriver and pull gently and it comes right off. I don't k ow what yall were thinking 😮 anxiously you weren't
If you have a chip key hold it in front of hole str8 up and down and when it's un the right spot the theft light will stay solid if the light blinks turn back yo off position and reposition and try again o ce you get it it'll start
My guy just did this, it turn all the way over and turns all gages on but won't turn the truck over. But when I touch the start relay, 30/87. Together it turns over. Any help please
Sounds like your missing the power or ground from the ignition to that relay. You should have ground at one pin and a “dead” pin at 85/86 and the dead one should show power when you turn the key to the crank position.
You g I t a chip key hold it str8 up and down in front of hole once the theft light stays solid without blinking the truck will start if it doesn't the keys in the wrong spot but if you don't have your chip key it won't start u less it's a manual transmission like this one but automatic transmission will not start with out holding chip key in front of the hole str8 up in down TRUTH FACTS
U didn’t have to do all that after u take the thick black plastic cover off put it vice grips where the two orange pins r n wiggle back n forth tell u snap the pins n it should turn n start up just like a key
If you have automatic Transmission you have to break it but if you h a ve a manual transmission or stick shift like him you won't have to get it out of park
Get Keys and Ignition off ebay along with SSB Pro2 programmer and do it right. Remove Ignition by pushing a small screw driver into bottom of steering column to release old unit or drill pin out carefully if you have no key. I was fortunate to have a door key made from my original code key so I always had a key to get in my truck if I got locked out. kept it in my wallet but some one stole my key ring and I ended up with no keys for ignition. took 5 minutes to install new ignition set and 10 minutes to program 2 new keys and it cost $225.00 to do it myself. Nice thing about have Programmer is I bought 2 new keys for my Explorer to program them also. Nice tool to have.
Need to but that all you needed to do was stick the door key in the ignition turn to on position turn back to off position then repeat then the third time use your new keys and the third time the key will be programed to truck so there you go saves 225 bucks truth
