In this video I go over how to change the oil in a Jeep Cherokee 4.0 liter inline 6, and other preventive maintenance tasks. Thanks for watching and supporting the channel!!
Well, I am a 37 year old Swedish guy and I can build stuff but have never wrenched on a car. Now I own an XJ which I am modifying for hunting and running around my father in laws farm in, and all your videos are absolute gold. Thank you sir for the humility and all the hard work. The content is quality. If you maintain this consistency I am sure many more will join me in following all the great value you provide.
Im pretty sure the 4.0 has a flat tappet design also and everyone says to either use rotella or add zddp to the oil to get the zinc content up. Great video for newbies though. Very thorough!
hello! I have an XJ 4.0 sport with 186 thousand km...what is the ideal oil model to use? At the moment I use 20w50 valvoline...I'm from RJ Brazil. Thank you in advance for the information
I use 10w40 Valvoline synthetic blend in mine. The question of which is best is almost impossible to answer, as there are as many opinions on the subject as there are kinds of motor oil. That being said, with the warm climate in Brazil you should be just fine with the 20w50 Valvoline.
