I have the same bike 1998 250rm where kit should I buy for a rebuild or wat kit you use for this bike

Almost all OEM parts were used for this rebuild, with the exception of a few parts. Most notably the crank and crank bearing/seal kit. There aren't any aftermarket cranks available, so we had this crank rebuilt with a Pro-X rod. OEM Suzuki crank bearings are pretty pricey, so we opted to use the Pro-X crank bearing & seal kit also. Same exact KOYO bearings as Suzuki OEM, just 1/2 the price. Piston and gasket kit all OEM Suzuki parts.

Am I wrong or did I see the crank seal on the clutch side installed backwards? Would it even matter?

Best to refer to your OEM manual; certain bikes are different. On this particular bike, the spring side of the seal faces the engine on the magneto side and away from the engine on the clutch side. Orientation does matter because it would burn transmission oil if it was backwards. Bike still runs excellent to this day. Thanks for the question.
