I was one of the camera operators who had the privilege of being able to see Whitney perform that night. I was on stage and I had the angle with the choir. She sounded unbelievably flawless that night and ended up performing a bit more with Bobby after the show was over. It was the highlight of my career to hear her sing up close and in person.

I was there that night and saw this and met her. With her passing...I can testify that there will never be another voice like Whitney Houston. Gospel, Pop, R&B....she could sing it. She never claimed to be anything more than someone who loved the Lord and someone who wanted to "make a joyful noise" with her gift. Mission Accomplished.

Whitney is with the Lord, with all her problems she unashamedly confessed Jesus. In fact, one of her last songs she sang with Kelly Price was her signature "Jesus loves me". Name me one artist who has/had a way to sing and preach about the Lord and who could take the whole world to church at their funeral. Nobody period. Recall the day of her funeral, MANY stations streamed it live, it was like the Lord said y'all come to the House of the Lord. She took us all to church in Jesus name!!! Go and listen to, I think her cousin, sing Psalm 23 at the funeral, it'll bless you so....This woman was truly sent. She is resting in peace bc she is with the Lord.
It’s clear Whitney was suppose to be a worship leader, look at the response of the people! Wow I didn’t read many comments but I’m going to say, I know the Spirit of God and He is all over this. The essence of Whitney's voice came from the Gospel. So, what-ever the condition of her voice was; she left something in you that you always could feel when she sang, particularly gospel songs !!❤️

It's something i always feel sad about.Iwanted her to retrace her steps back to where she started-- gospel music.When she died i cried as if she was my sister.
She never rejected her gospel up bring. Anyone who have every seen any of her concerns know she will bring out into a gospel song in a heart beat,have everyone on their feet,and she's been known to break out into a shout or two.Reguardless of her personal issues,drugs or what ever,she never forgot her gospel roots,and have testified to her love of God and faith.

Pure greatness. Even when she wasn’t able to sing at her peak anymore that voice was still undeniably unique and one of a kind. Whitney just had a gift within her voice that even when she wasn’t able to be at her best, it still was able to touch you in a way many others couldn’t.
Yes coz they are technical singers. They focus more on their runs and what not without delivering the emotion, Aretha was great before in the 60s and 70s but she became more focused on her runs and riffs 🤦🏽♂️

I sang 'I go to the Rock' a few times in church after coming across it in a campfire Christian songbook. I fell in love with my Savior again and again all my life, every day, but, this song, it reminds me of WHY I love Jesus. He was, is, and ever shall be, ' The rock'.

Even though her voice transition even through her drama Whitney on her worst day is and was STILL better than ANY vocalist. That's why she is was and will ALWAYS BE THE VOICE. SHE IS THE STANDARD BY WHICH ALL SINGERS ARE MEASURED.
Yup she sure did and there were people on the set of Preachers Wife trying to warn Cissy. I think Denzel was trying to see what was going on and help WH, but something happened on set. They were as close anymore. She was still his girl/homie, but he didn’t deal with her as much anymore. It’s no telling what was said or done

she can always bring the church with her and the Georgia Mass Choir wherever she will go, even bring it on TV where some of her pers don't dare to do, but not Whitney.
