At the end of the day, everyone on that stage knew who Mattie Moss Clark was. CeCe and Karen practically grew up together in Detroit, always singing together. Whitney could sing period, Karen can sing period, CeCe can sing period!!!!!!!
Kjarious Mitchell right and it’s nothing to down grade Whitney she’s amazing but Karen has powerhouse vocals Whitney could sing but Whitney could not belt audible B5 and C6 Karen just has range and people need to stop trying to downplay them vocals
I just see three women singing and enjoying each other. I dont understand all this competition stuff. Why not just enjoy the music and stop picking it apart.
Thank u. I just went in on one of the comments. How did yall even manage to compare? Smh. When none of yall can share a stage with these women. Just sitdown and enjoy
Black folks always compare each other. Like they do with Beyoncé, like shes the best singer in the world. We have so many black singers within our community. Why put so much stress on Beyonce?!
you know how some singers make strange faces when they singer. not one of Whitney traits.. . when she sings her face just gets more and more gorgeous with every note. Love You Queen!
aaron newman the beautiful thing about Whitney was that she knew when to step back and let someone else shine. People always loved to duet with her for that reason.
She is home now. This is what she was born to do.Testify and witness. Grateful we had her a short time.Thankful she found his throne.Love you always Whitney.
That’s not how it works. You are only anointed when you have the Holy Spirit. You can have people that are evil behind you and still be anointed. It doesn’t matter who is around you as long as you have Jesus!
The Bible says not to judge. At the end of the day they're still spreading the word of God. Gospel is God's music. Who are you to judge. No one's perfect. We all have skeletons in their closets.
Jan 1, 2021. I first leaned this song at a Christian summer camp when I was 10 or 11. All these years I've only remembered the chorus, but until today, and outside of learning it at summer camp I've NEVER heard this song performed. Thank you for posting it. Now I will be sure to learn learn it fully.
I Go To The Rock - a Gospelsong from Whitney Houston, one of her best! She doesn't need great Background, only her voice, her heard and her believe on God! With her songs she lives forever!!!
Whitney was never intimidated by any other Singer. Oddly enough she signaled Karen Twice to let loose and Karen Did.lol. Whitney was very Secure at this Point due to the Career she built and She is one who always Enjoyed singing with Singers
rip Whitney your voice is so beautiful and untouchable even when you was not in your prime you could still blow I listen to you all day long none stop.
Whitney new so well how to lead both musicians and choir singers and entertaining audiences... she took everybody up there with her. Bet she got that from Sissy .... #Whitney4ever💜💜💜
Whitney always encouraged natural talent. She was known for giving people their props. I’m glad she was never known for being selfish or arrogant concerning her gift.
Dominique Deveraux oh absolutely not. You probably like the ability that came during that time, but that is not her best lol. Whitney’s vocal period where she could kill everyone she stood with was 1986-1994. 95 she was cool 96-97 she was sick a lot and her voice got really low. 98-01 she was back really Good and gained a lot of her upper range back. But 95-96 are not her best
Kyle summers interesting that her preachers wife voice, tho you can hear a difference even from exhale a year earlier, was very nimble and she could get into upper belts quickly- even if she didn’t stay there long. However, live 96-97, it was a diff story
Whitney's Best Vocal time frame was during 1986 to 1994, Especially after her Killer 10 minute performance on The 21st American Music Awards in 1994. After that, her voice was really strained, especially after the Bodyguard/tour schedule that year in 94'. But being a huge Whitney lover, to me her best albums where her voice was at it's best was on her second album 1987's "WHITNEY" followed by 1990's "IYBT" and 92' Bodyguard.
@@christianWilliams-pc4jn , exactly! Whitney knew how to naturally command the stage, and sing while unifying background singers all at the same time! She never tried to outshine anyone, she just shined!
Karen’s belting and riffs would’ve taken away the essence of the song anyway. Whitney knew how to command the stage and sang without taking away from the essence of the song.
LOL when Karen started laughing, always a sweetheart 😌. A moment with her BFF letting CeCe do her thing a bit longer...Lastly Whitney comfortably in her zone period; directing at da changes & dat jump with 🖐🏾🖐🏾up @ 3:33. #justnippy💞
