This is for 4Runners 1999 to 2002 that have a failing door actuator so they can’t program the key fob through the inside of the car. It will require that your key works to lock and unlock through the driver side.
Yes sir it worked using key from the outside to cycle 5 times thank you 🙏🏽 so much on the first try and you won my subscription too have a magnificent day
Thank you very much !! I utilized your method and it helped me out after about an hour I was finally able to get my keyless remote activated which I bought from Amazon. Thanks very much again !
I thought that might work your video confirmed my suspicion and I was able to get my 4Runner in to programming mode quickly and easily. Thanks For The Great Video. 👍
Worked perfect. Thanks. Idk why but it wouldn’t accept the replacement fobs I got from Amazon. When I tried to program them it would unlock / lock 4x BUT I was able to reprogram my OG fob and now it unlocks like new again. Weird.
Update: it took me a few tries but each time I consistently got the locks to cycle using the key instead of the button on the inside of the door. And I finally got the Fob to pair on the final attempt. Not sure how exactly. I tried the holding both buttons for 1 second and holding the lock button for 2 seconds but it just kept cycling the locks as if it was telling me it was in pairing mode. I just kept pressing buttons until it paired and it works perfectly now so thank you so much for this video I have been using my key only for years now!!!
@@ogpit6648@ogpit6648 So just to let you know it finally worked. Very intentional up and down in a rhythm on the lock (driver side only) and for whatever reason it worked. Manually move the lock up and down with your hand as you work the switch. It took me 20-30 trys total over a few weeks lol
