Thanks for tour of bridge. Enjoyed it a lot. I am a little surprised you did not install a second GPS/Plotter where the original Northstar unit was. I find when I am cruising that a second big unit is really helpful. I set one for up close range view and one for far out range to see where I am in relation to the whole route. One one boat I installed one Garmin 12" unit and one 12" Raymarine unit and I found having two types of charting software was also very helpful -- the different appearance of canals and waterways on the units made it easier to understand tricky inlets or passageways. As I get older I also like to install the biggest unit I can squeeze in. My eyes say thank you -- squinting at small depth numbers or navigation symbols makes for stressful passage-making. Your helm area is laid out for your needs and that is what counts. The fact that you have voyaged almost twice around the loop incident-free attests to your careful preparation and competent usage.

Is the synchronizer just to eliminate the droning noise of the engines like on a plane or does it serve some other purpose? Thanks for the videos.

Sam - I really like the helm / cockpit on the "Here's to Us". I have been looking at Carver 446 MY and they all have that ugly brown helm with the small black wheel. Your stainless wheel is very cool. Is this stock? Also, I can't find other Carver's with the enclosed / hardtop helm. Again, is this custom for your boat. I really like it. Best, Ed Baird

What's the periodic whine that you hear when underway? Is that servo noise from the autopilot system?

I admire the layout you have accomplished on the bridge and the entire boat. Just wonder how many miles of wire it took to do that. I agree that the analog gauges are the best way to go, maybe that is just old fashioned but I like it. Very organized but smart. Enjoy
