Thank you! I appreciate the time you take to explain why something failed. I’ll be taking my ezgo’s starter generator apart and see if it’s fried and how the brushes are. Please keep it up!
About 96 with 96 per cent humidity! A normal south Louisiana day. It rained and the humidity was 100 per cent. Anyway, it was hot no matter what anyone says. Great job on the repair. I don't like cheap parts as they fail just when you are out in the middle of nowhereville.
Unfortunately, mostly everything is made in China by the same manufacturer. Its almost impossible to get away from it. If you want better, American made quality, you have to really spend the bucks. Most people just want it to work and want it now so Chinesium parts is the way to go.
'you folks out there can have that bullsh*t'. I'm in KS. Told my wife yesterday it was so hot the wind just turns it from a regular oven to a convection oven...just cooking us faster.
Kevin I have a 295 and just replaced carb, plugs, wires, fuel pump lines filter oil change, filter adjusted valves thanks to you When I hook up the pvc to air box stalls leave it off runs??? Help please?
It sounds like there is a blockage in the airbox. Connect the pcv hose and remove the airbox cover. If it runs, then the airbox has a blockage before the air filter.
Kevin's Golf Carts I did that can’t find anything took it to a shop and they brought it back said never seen anything like it......there is a bit of blow by coming out pvc but everything checks out. Tried to run it with pvc discounted and doesn’t have any power.in neutral it runs fast under a load nothing....anything you can think of would help. I love your videos and learn a lot from you. Thank you
You might have a blockage in the muffler. Your compression differential is a bit steep. I would do a wet compression test on the lower PSI cylinder and see if it improves. You could also have a weak CDI or ignition coil. Without hearing what the engine is doing, I can't really give you a good place to start.
I find people buy those eBay starters and install them without checking f1 f2. A1 A2 studs for tightness. They just tighten the top not. They will burn up shortly afterward.
So I just put new one in my cart yesterday, went maybe 140yrds and " "pop" then smoke, looked under seat and brand new S/G smoking. I thought maybe I wired it wrong, any suggestions for me to confirm if I did wrong or posts tightened to tight from manufacturer? Any help would be appreciated
How do you warranty your work? Do you just warranty the parts applied and repaired? Please message me/respond. I have a business doing the same but am now getting serious with it and am curious from someone who has been in the business for a while about how your warranty your work.
No, I don't have that equipment in house for that. By the time its brought to a shop for machining, cost and time down, I could just replace the starter/generator for less money.
