It’s awesome to see your wife getting involved in the channel more. Whenever your significant other wants to be involved in something you also enjoy doing, it seems to make it more fun.
@@PIPSBURGHVIEWS 👍I usually flush the old oil out with a 1/4 quart of new motor oil and the reinstall the drain plug and use new motor oil on the o-rings or gaskets for the filter or filter housing also.
The new Lucas Full synthetic oil stabilizer works well with full synthetic motor oils when adding new motor oil after draining the old motor oil and changing filter also. The Lucas Full Synthetic oil additive is in a 1 quart bottle with a checked flag design on the outside of the bottle. It says on the label it works with any type of full synthetic motor oil. It's thinner than the old style of Lucas oil stabilizer additive.
Thanks Brian, your video was very instructive. I usually go off road in the desert and the dunes and I tell you that that protective shield under the engine in the sand is useless, I had to change my Jeep for a 6mm aluminum one, the plastic one that comes from the factory it broke in the first half hour of the crossing. It is better to change it because a stone not only breaks it but can destroy the engine. Enjoy.
"Here the parts you need, 7 quarts of oil...." and you only show 6, what's up with that?! And who's watching the kids while your wife is doing your job!?! You should be home watching the kids!! LOL Great Video
Good to see you uploading videos Brain, I really like your Bronco. Hoping I can get one in the next year or so, pricing needs to stabilize a little bit for me to get my hands on one.
Brian very similar to doing an oil change on my 2017 2.7 Ecoboost F150, but mine only calls for 6 quarts, I’m pretty sure, is there a reason the Bronco got a larger amount of oil compared to the 150. If that gal can cook and loves the Steelers she’s a keeper!!! My lil gal would booger up my bald noggin if I asked her to help me do an oil change!😏
@@PIPSBURGHVIEWS Hmm, I guess it saves waste on metal bolts? I know that some manufacturer are going the 0w-16 route, I wonder whats the long term engine wear, that we don't know yet.
@@cd9225 The 0W16 oil is Group 4 synthetic or GAL synthetic. It is a very robust oil, much better than the synthetic blend MC (mostly conventional) oil. The engines that use 0W16 will run forever.
hahahaha i ove how we didnt get to see you or the wife struggle on the small oring! one of the most annoying filters to replace just because of that o ring
You’re the first person I’ve seen that’s added 7 quarts and shown full on the dipstick. Everyone else is over full with that amount. The thinking is they used the wrong dipstick. Waiting for official word from Ford.
I just went by what the Ford workshop manual states but I also saw this after I posted the video. Ford Bronco Team Engineering Confirms 7.0 Quarts for 2.7L Engine Oil Change is Correct www.bronco6g.com/bronco-team-engineering-confirms-7-0-quarts-for-oil-change-is-correct/
@@PIPSBURGHVIEWS Good use of old oil haha. Yeah thats nice for you, but people that don’t have that luxury has to deal with the old oil and that is the biggest pain in the ass. I’m telling GE haha
