They just finished a US tour. My son and I saw them at the MET in Phila. two weeks ago. They played for two hours , and made my eyes fill up more than once. I'm a sucker for that gravel in his voice.

Hey Michael thanks for doing this!! I have to say I haven’t seen Josh hit the high register, I think he’s all about tone but someone may correct me.. These boys are both very serious about their guitars, Josh (lead) having designed his own acoustic which is now on sale for about $3,500. They’ve opened for Barnsey at his concerts and are quite well known down under. I think they’ve toured overseas too.

$3500? I’ll never have one! 😂 I have 2 guitars that were about that much that were given to me and the rest are under $1000

@@michaelgoyettemusic right?! 😂 also I just saw that the Teskey Brothers will be in Canada in June. Calgary on June 24, also Edmonton.. not sure of where else but assume they’ll do a few cities while they’re there.

@@Dr_KAP Calgary is a 2.5 day drive from here. Many tours just hit western Canada as part of their western USA tours as there aren’t many stops worth playing between here and Calgary unless you go through the states to hit Minnesota Chicago Detroit but I’m not even sure Detroit is a viable market anymore…..anyway, if they come close that would be fun!!

Followed The Teskey Brothers from when they were young guys starting out and playing at a local restaurant. They were great then with so much potential. Josh (vocals) and Sam (guitar) have toured extensively around the world and have a great catalogue of songs. Another one to check out-Hold Me (Live At the Forum).

These guys are definitely the real deal. They are wonderful live. Great voice great band. And some excellent collaborations with others. I am a pretty big fan of these guys. Thanks Dr KAP , yo and your wonderful page.

Had to go look up the young trumpeter. Her name is Audrey Powne. Session Player, Music Teacher, singer songwriter and also fronts her own Jazz band now. Apparently toured the US with the Teskys in 2019

Love the Teskey Brothers. Their music kept me sane during the longest lockdown anywhere in the World. I never go to sleep at night without listening to Rain, Oceans of Emotions, London Bridge …

I don’t know….I live in Quebec Canada where we had curfews and all kinds of unnecessary stuff. (Regulations were different in every province, Quebec was the worst) Where are you?

@@michaelgoyettemusic Melbourne, Victoria Australia. We had six lockdowns totalling 262 days. Many with a 5 km border or toward the end of each lockdown 10 km. Unfortunately all my family was outside my 10 km border. Luckily at times we could meet up outdoors as long as we were masked and I had a friend and we found a meeting point where our 5 km borders overlapped and we would take a thermos flask and a chair and have a natter. I love Warrandyte were the Teskey boys come from, very picturesque with a river running along side the Main Street, but it was 11 km as the crow flies, so outside my border at the time. I did get real lucky there between the first and second lockdowns and managed to get some toilet paper in their little grocery store 😂 so glad the worst of those days are gone and my husband and I are still NOVIDS, I don’t know how we haven’t caught it as the whole family has had it at least once. Just wondering if you have heard “Wondering Why” by the Red Clay Strays. I have that song on my repeat playlist too. The Teskey Brothers and the Red Clay Strays have both performed live at Red Rocks. Anyway, this old girl has rambled long enough. Have a good day.

The two brothers are the mainstay of the band, the main line-up has changed and the rest is fluid regarding musicians They have been honing their skills since very young, playing around outer city ( of Melbourne) markets etc. at first. Now they are known and play around the world. All their songs are great. I particularly like, 'Man of the Universe,' which is upbeat, happy and calls to me to dance. Sam recorded their albums on old-school tape machines he found in England and it gives an interesting sound. They are lovely, down-to-earth, personable guys. There are a number of their videos on You Tube. Well done for getting through with your request, Kappy !

I have been rocking with the teskey Brothers for 3 to 4 years and the first song I heard was rain but it was the colors show which was phenomenal you should also check out pain and misery I Get Up featuring Bahamas say you do live which shows brother Sam's guitar skills😊😊😊 blessings from Toronto

Yo Mike! our eyebrows raised in unison at the first note to come from that lads mouth. Haha. Love the guitar player. Really cool smooth style. "Butter" was the perfect description. I'll be checking them out and I suspect quite likely adding them to Mrs Fret-less's playlist.

Yo. You know it's a great song when it's too short. Definitely has that blues and motown vibe. Yeah, the firts guitar slide was exceptionally well fitting and comes outa nowhere to match the vocals. I'm looking forward to seeing more.

Wow. Such a delight to hear your prof reaction. Just love this group. Saw them in Glasgow, then in Oslo and am going to their Barcelona gig in July. Great grit, such a soulful sound. Try London Bridge or I remember the time from their 2023 album. They played all over Europe and the States in 23 and back again this year. Do not miss out.

They have a solid following around the world and are building every year. They'll be over in Canada in June , you should check them out - they put on a great gig. Check out 'Hold Me' - live at the Forum Theatre to see what you can expect - great track.

Saw these guys open a concert for Jimmy Barnes ... knew nothing about them but as a lifelong Otis Redding fan I was shocked that their act was basically his ... didn't really rate them but of course Jimmy is hard to wait for ... but now, huge fan, shame the band has broken up but really looking forward to what Sam and Josh Teskey come up with next. But if you like this check out Otis - taken too soon but if you want oozing soul with a big dollop of funk (the band is Booker T and MGs) check out the OG.

I and many other commenters think Josh sound more like Otis Redding than anyone else. Some people say Joe Cocker, and some Chris Stapleton. All 3 have raspy voices, but different styles of singing.
