Love the piercings and gurl them are sharp ! I have a similar hand and I cut the cuticle off the brown tip and then make it flush . Looks much nicer when doing your sets .

I’d just came across your video. Ive always worked in healthcare but I had always had interest in nails I just feel like pursing this type of careers is challenging, competitive, and now with trends you just have to keep up. What is your best advice on pursuing this career? Should I go to a nail school? or take a course?

Honestly I would make sure it’s something you want to purse as a career or just to do your nails/ family and friends. It is extremely competitive out here. Most nail techs I know have to still work a regular job. I would use this time to practice at home or take a course with an experienced nail tech. Nail school will not tech you how to do nails if I am being honest, they teach you how to pass state board. I hope that helps.

@@MomLifeBeauty Thank for your response. I think I see it more as a hobby .. I don’t think it will benefit me as a full time job the cost of living where I live is extremely expensive. I don’t know at the moment any nail techs or a course I can just take. Where I live they do have school and they do have a class I can take just for acrylic is $2,657 but I don’t know if that’s to much just for them to teach me to how to do acrylics.

Waiting to start now school in a week but they won't give us the list of supplies until the first day 😔.. any advice on the products I may want to stock up on now?

A good kolinsky brush, lint free wipes, nail glue , nail tips (variety shapes), files & buffers, monomer and core acrylic powders, sanding bands, cuticle oil, and top coat.

Hi, there is no financial aid available for this school. It was not a lot about $2500. It may be a little more now. FYI, it is not a learning environment (you will NOT learn how to do nails). I recommend this school if you already know how to do nails. The owner is Mrs. Davis tell her in sent you if you go, nice woman. There are a few other schools that are GREAT!! They cost a little more but prepare you for the nail tech industry 100%.

@@MomLifeBeauty thank you sm ❤❤ that definitely helps to know because Im super good at nail art but i want to learn a little more about application and products yet my only options are Aveda and Empire until I finally settle with clients and a suite i wont be able to pay oop 😮‍💨 By any chance, are those other schools accepting financial aid? Or is Aveda and Empire really the only schools?

I wouldn’t do to Empire you would have to take the entire cosmetology course, they don’t just teach nails alone, that’s over 20k. Check out Queens Beauty, they may do aid it’s about 5k I know they do payments plans. It’s the BEST option for what you want to learn and achieve. I wish I picked them honestly. The girls I know that went there came out of school BEAST nail techs.
