cushioning actually masks the sensation of impact but doesn't actually take away the force, from what i've read and recall, and actually will transfer that force into your knees and other uncomfortable places for your anatomy. You're better off in the long-term using stuff like this and training your body, or re-training rather, to work with what you've got than letting the shoes compensate for weaknesses, which overtime can lead to higher injury occurrence. I'm saying this because I wear them and people give me advice when they have nothing to back it up.

this will help you protect your knee for sure, because with those on your feet, you will never want to land on your heels. These shoe actually help you train the right way to run and jump. The real issue will be with the ankle and the arch.

@@manglu859 I did some drills the other days outdoors in some barefoot types shoes and I would even say you might strengthen your legs entirely with these. I confirm it pretty much forces you to avoid heel strikes. Arch support actually weakens feet because you're not using the muscles in them as much. As far as ankles I would argue it's very hard to roll your ankle in these because they're wide, you're so low to the ground, and on jumps you're more conscious of you how you land. I felt way quicker in them.
