This guy was actually my calculus professor in university, he's absolutely brilliant, and a great guy. I knew about this appearance on this and asked him if he knew the answer to the last question, he wouldn't tell me, but did say that the half a million was a major help to his family.
@@NeroKnight666 I'm not criticizing him dude. I'm saying he was probably between two answers and didn't want to risk it. Because he didn't affirmatively tell me that his choice would have been wrong, his guess was probably right but he didn't want to risk it lol Yeah, still a champ in my book.
@@TheGreekPianist Robert "Bob-O" Essig was the highest winner in Super Millionaire who walked away with a million. The 2.5 million dollar question was: The last known sighting of labor leader Jimmy Hoffa was on July 30, 1975 at what Michigan restaurant's parking lot? A: Machus Red Fox B: Big Daddy's Parthenon C: Beau Jacks Restaurant D: Salvatore Scallopini
It’s amazing how much the crowd got emotional when Pat answered the $500,000 question right. Imagine how much would happen if a $10 million question was answered correctly? It wouldn’t just be confetti. It would have to be sparks and some of the audience would be hugging the Reege I’m sure.
I actually knew the million dollar question. In kindergarten we did a Thanksgiving festival thing and the moment I saw the question I immediately thought back to that and remmebered wamponoag
Absolute legend Pat Headley is, years later he went on to achieve a 7 fight win streak in the UFC only to lose to one of the best fighters of all time, Khabib Nurmagomedov.
He transformed his life after the 500K. A inspiration for all who believe in a better tomorrow. I have a signed copy of his autobiography. " FROM REGIS TO 'RESTLING" 🌲🌿☘️👁️👃👁️☘️🌿🌲
D was the answer that sounded familiar. I'd probably have walked out from the pressure also. But the Turkey one was easy since my dad told me as a kid that Troy was Turkey
I guessed right on the Million Dollar Question. I read an article about the first Thanksgiving in my Education class and I was almost positive that the answer showed up in the text.
He probably didn't like the idea of how double dip worked and it's scary it take a risk whether you'd lose money or get more money and not being allowed to walk away and refused to lose any of the $500,000 he had. I don't blame him even those this was just about 20 years ago. If you think you can't take the risk don't go for it, I'd love to have $500,000 but I don't
My frist grade teacher implanted a really annoying but catchy song about pronouncing the Wampanoag. So weird, but it would have helped if I were in his situation.
I guess only double-dip when you for sure know one of the answers is familiar and you feel confident about that answer but just not confident to answer the question. Also good to double-dip with 3 wisemen in one question, when they're not 100% certain.
It would be some obscure piece of knowledge. For ten million dollars, here it is: How many landlocked country are there in Africa? A. 11 B. 13 C. 15 D. 17
I was top of my geography class. It's C. Final The countries are Botswana, Burkina Faso, Burundi, Central African Republic, Chad, Ethiopia, Lesotho, Malawi, Mali, Niger, Rwanda, Swaziland, Uganda, Zambia, and Zimbabwe.
With the Double Dip, it does lock you in to giving two answers yes. It lets you answer twice but you can't change your mind and walk away if the first one being wrong spooks you.
@ILoveLGG I guess it was just in case he walked away on that next question, the show would likely end since it was so late into the show that they wanted to ensure they got a proper intro incase nobody got to 100K.
5.30pm de las cosas y de la manera 7am de la misma y de la manera 7am de la misma y de ❤❤❤y de la manera 7am de la misma y de la manera 7am de la misma y de la
Worst case scenario he walks out with 100k dollars, that’s still SUPER good, if I were him I would’ve used double dip and taken the 50/50 chance for the million without question
Insulin is a hormone produced by cells in the pancreas call the islets of langerhand. It is a hormone used to instruct cells to burn glucose in response to food or stress. Diabetics with impaired pancreases require exogenous forms of the hormone because the pancreas can not produce it. I think the show got this question wrong. I am a pharmacist with twenty five years of experience. This is something that is taught in basic freshmen year anatomy and physiology classes. Every in the medical profession from physicians, nurses, lab technicians and even psychiatrists need to know this. It’s very basic information. Cholesterol is the basic building blocks needed to make an actual hormone. Calling it a hormone would be akin to calling bricks a building.
Thats terrible that me didnt know the answer, Im Aussie and I knew the answer, I also left high school when I was 15, so Im no scholar. This shows how poor the education system is when people of his education level cannot answer a basic history question from elementary school.
500k question was easy as hell and I’m only 13. It makes sense. Cholesterol is the worst one. Because u hear all the time that it’s bad to have high cholesterol. And if they talking bout steroid then no dip
