He actually did that first, and no If you mine the crafting table first, you need to look up again then mine the diorite, then look down to swim If you mine the diorite first, then you can look down mine the crafting table and swim without looking up
You could (practically) instantly light the portal, and practically instantly build it. With TAS-level precision using the tool that allows items to drop in specific directions, there might be a smarter way to do the vents (specifically, there might be a way to avoid breaking the crafting table) Overall I'd guess 2:10 or so
Maybe this is completely irrelevant to you at this point, but: He used the metronome to help him time a trick that makes this run work. If you place a water bucket inside the portal the instans that you teleport to the nether, you can break the overworld portal while still ending up in the nether. When you take the portal in the nether back four seconds later, you will generate a new portal in the overworld which is outside the escape room. It all comes down to that timing, however, because of the portal is still lit in the escape room, you will end up there again. So the metronome helps him time tnis glitch which may be tick perfect, frame perfect, packet perfect, i cant remember, but either way its a very narrow window.
I actually got a 2:27 (RTA) two months ago, I just haven't uploaded it since it's part of a bigger video I'm making. But in that run there are about 5 seconds that can still be shaved off due to improper movement. (5 seconds that are possible for a human to do, I'm not talking about a perfect tas.)
thats obviusly fake. You can see in 0:39, the world only takes a few seconds to load. normally, loading the world takes 30sec-1minute if not longer. Even if we assume the world is superflat with no structures, there is no way the world is loading that fast, the video must be speeded up.
