If the defense is given opportunity to examine the bullets, bring in their own expert to analyze them, they may find information that could EXONERATE the defendant. This is what the public doesn’t understand. When exculpatory evidence is withheld by the prosecution, you have to assume there was a specific reason the prosecution did this that you can or should infer. The defense was not given time to analyze or investigate their truth/due diligence over this piece of evidence. Therefore it’s a miscarriage of justice.
