I heard these guys were supposed to be on the VC45 mold, but they used the factory used the old mold by mistake. It would've made sense since we had just recently gotten the Lieutenant and Sergeant on that mold at that point in time.
That actually would make a lot of sense! It would have completed the TVC officer line up as well. Could also explain why the paint apps are so sloppy and rushed looking.
With that phase 1 Deviss and two of the laying down pre-posed phase 1 clones, you can recreate the scene of Deviss defending a ditch that had two wounded troopers in it for three hours that got him a medal.
Deviss is under K company in the 327th star corps, K company is under hawkbat battalion, in case no one knew this, it’s quite obscure and legends but it’s canon to me. Also that one yellow commander windu talked to during the battle of geonosis was indeed ponds.
Legends and canon are such a blur to me now, I just enjoy what I enjoy and call it good haha! But that is cool info, I did not know Hawkbat fell under the 327th! The yellow commander is 100% Ponds in ATOC, and I guess it's an easy head-canon to assume the Captain we see might be Deviss. Though in AOTC the Captain works with the artillery.
In the New Canon Deviss is still a commander however no longer attributed with the 327"th as other than his name and rank he hasn't been mentioned since a 2015 encyclopedia book.
Bly was a marshall commander, he had multiple commanders under his command to lead the 4 legions/brigades, 16 regiments and 64 battalions that made up the 327th Star Corps, in addition to the commanders of the smaller units, you had Deviss who was a commander that lead K-Company, Deviss wasn't promoted to lead a larger unit, he was promoted because of his actions and his leadership abilities.
That does make sense. There is more lore I should have read up on before filming I guess. Bly would be like Cody then, even though the 212th is oddly called a battalion haha! Sadly, Star Wars military units don’t always make sense.
@@RustbeltCollector the 212th is a subdivision of the 7th Sky Corps, which was lead by Cody and Obi-wan, known units in it are the 212th Attack Battalion, 2nd Airborne Company, Ghost Company, Waxer's Platoon and Parjai Squad, while not part of the 7th Sky Corps, Gregor's unit, Foxtrot group was attached to them.
It depends on what source you go off of. I know the P2 box called him a commander, where as other sources call him a captain. His armor is not an indication either, since all the 327th has pauldrons and kamas. But it doesn’t rule out a field promotion.
@@RustbeltCollector He was promoted after the battle of Altyr V, during which the jedi he was serving under was killed, Deviss rallied all the remaining clones and took out the ion cannon that was preventing the republic forces from receiving air support, the source this comes from is "Star Wars Insider 84" in the article "Guide to the Grand Army of the Republic" in the entry for "Clone Commander CT-65/91-6210", CT-65/91-6210 is the number of Deviss.
