The biggest thing I miss are the home bases for villain and hero’s. The more characters you unlock the more show up walking around. And if you went to the hero base being a villain everyone would attack you. The home base was the coolest part of the game
True, grew up with Lego Star Wars the Clone Wars and when nostalgia hit me, I got me the game. Instantly missed it that you can't mess around and fight everyone, even after all this time
I recently spawned the federation capital ship and went there as captain Rex and Commander Cody, and some of the droids fired on me, so if you want some small fights I suggest that, cause it’s actually really fun.
They also did time and terrain based wear. The longer you spend on some planets walking around their dirty surfaces, your characters will start getting sand or mud, or even snow stuck in their creases and cracks. Realistic wear was made a whole engine feature they made to make them still feel like mini figures. I’d say they did wonderfully.
First game my now 18 year old son and I played together was lego star wars in ps2. Literally every lego game since its in our library and so far we are happy to have this on ps5.
Another interesting easter egg is that when Anakin's idling, he's seen trying to perform maintenance on his lightsaber and toggling the lightsaber from blue to red idly
There's some unique dialogue you can trigger when you select two specific characters in free play, some of them even reference fanbase memes. Palpatine: "Have you ever heard the tragedy of Darth Plaguis the Wise?" Darth Vader: "You've told me it countless times!"
Another note with the stud multiplier data cards, you can combine them! You don’t just have to have a single x2 or x10 on, you can turn them all on for multiplicative multipliers!
The important thing about this as well is that it makes all of them cost the equivalent of 1mill (the price of the cheapest one) when the math is done. IE: the first costs 1mil, now you have 2x mult and the next costs 2mill then you'll be getting 8x and the next costs 8mill. Its just the same price for all of them assuming you have all of the multipliers on. And when you have all of them on you have a 3840x multiplier which is just ridiculous
@@exoical4304 What I have done in previous Lego games, and am working towards in this one is to break everything to get at least the x2 multiplier. Then you get the studs twice as fast and can get the x4 multiplier in half the time. Then this process repeats.
@@RhetoricalGambit I can't wait for ignorant and unintelligent people like you to fade away. Gameplay 'mechanics' has been a term in use since the 80's, maybe earlier. It isn't going anywhere.
Preordered it yesterday but man, playing it is such a nostalgia trip back to playing The Complete Saga on the Wii. Now to be playing it on the PS5 and seeing little Easter eggs is such a blessing, the new improvements are so amazing
Same bro it’s so nostalgic from going from the wii just knowing literally nothing discovering to now where I feel like I know all the stuff about LEGO Star Wars it still brings back that original feeling.
Speaking of the upgrade system, Heroes, Villains and Astromech droid class' upgrade categories all have upgrades that allow you to skip the terminal mini games they have (the memory game for villains, the guitar hero style thing for heroes and the rotating block thing for droids). Upon purchasing these upgrades, whenever accessing one of the terminals, you can either complete it like normal and receive a stud bonus, (which you don’t normally get without the upgrade), or you can press/hold a button to just activate the terminal without having to faff about with the mini game.
My biggest tip would be to go after the Stud multiplier. Once you earn 3 or 4 of these and activate them all, you don’t have to worry about building up credits. You can just explore without feeling the need to smash everything you see. I spent a few days focusing on getting 4 multipliers activated and now my credit count always sits around 500,000,000 sometimes more
theres a few stud multipliers you can unlock by collection kyber and acumulating studs. its x2's the studs you pick up from tat point on. theres also one that x4's and x8's. hard to explain. explore you menus bro@@Paddles_Productions
The graphics and sound design in this game completely blew me away. I haven’t played a Lego game since Star Wars Original trilogy came out but this game is leagues better than the old games
@@yagagang1854 mine is when in episode 9 (even tho it sucks) Anakin says that he hates sand during the scene where Rey asks the Jedi before her to be with her and shit
When Rey is in the castle and the lightsaber is calling to her, if you wait around and listen to all the ghostly voices you'll hear anakin go, "I haaate saaaand" 😂😂😂
I paused and kept looking back before and after that scene wondering what he was talking about code as seen on our screen there. Thanks for actually posting the code cheers man,may the force be with you
Speaking of Easter eggs. A great one is on Dagobah, one of the Kyber Brick challenges is named after a line from the famous Seagulls song by Bad Lip Reading. Made me laugh way harder than it should have
- I am Vader, blade of the Emperor. - Anakin, put this foolish ambitions to rest! - You were di elden lord! You were supposed to avoid the shattering, not cause it! - Hello there! General Radahn, I was trained in your gravity art by witch Sellen.
My favorite Easter egg line so far has been when playing a qui-gon and he talks about having a "particular set of skills" when near a puzzle he can be used to solve.
I pre-ordered mine for switch on 1/18/21 and I was getting emails from gamestop saying that my order was canceled because my payment isn't working. Even though I got a receipt when I ordered it last year
@@thomasraines1396 I'm not kidding you I just got another one Gamestop "There was a problem with your payment for your gamestop order" at 4:32. I just recently started getting these. Idk why. Gamestop charged me last year for it.
@@zombie8u218 thats why i literally refuse to give gamestop any money lol worst company in the gaming industry. Ive switched to digital everything these days anyways
I absolutely love all the funny little dialogue moments. There’s a moment in Ep. II where padme gets stuck and she says “what do I have to be captured by Tuskens for you to rescue me?” That shit killed me, so funny
I found myself feeling the same when I got the new Hot Wheels Unleashed game. It's like they have no business looking so good but they look better than most games I've played!
I mean it's not just the visuals but the complete revamp of the combat system from lightsabers to blasters was unreal. Lightsaber combat made me feel like I was playing like a Lego kid's version of Fallen Order
I still maintain that Hayden Christensen's performance in "Attack of the Clones" is unjustly underrated, and the line about killing the women and children Tusken Raiders is actually pretty unsettling. But here we are.
@@carlycrays2831 I...disagree. I think the point of Anakin (not sure how I'd phrase the point of the film itself) has always been that he's, for lack of a better term, a little shit. This is the kid *who will become* Darth Vader. This is a mass murder during his adolescence. So Christensen playing him as arrogant, petulant, and melancholy, and not always heroic or noble, and even slightly unsettling, for me, is exactly what the role required. I've always suspected that people were hard on Christensen's performance because, on some level, they "expect" the hero of a sci-fi/fantasy film to be the opposite of these things. In a lot of ways, Christensen's performance subverts those expectations. It's why I've always admired it.
@@EGEntertanment What it already got patched? I didn't even get a chance to try it out... Edit: False alarm. I just got on and I was able to do the glitch.
So entertaining and useful! I’m just getting back into gaming. My last system was a Cube. When I saw The Saga come out, I bought a switch and the game and every accessory needed. I’m 50 this year! Got this for my bday in May. I feel like a young father and a youngling again!
There isn't a limit, if they become crossed out, just move to a new area away from them and you can continue spawning more. My game on PS4 crashed between 95-100 of them both times
There's an Easter egg I absolutely love at the very start of the Phantom Menace. In the meeting room where you start, three chairs are not correctly put around the table. Put em in their place, and the chairs will start dancing with the cantina song playing. This was also present in the original Lego Star Wars game
Another easteregg: In the one level of the 7. Episode where you are playing in the big ship from Han solo, you can end up finding the Ark of the Covenant from the first India Jones inside of a box
I know, but still, they could’ve made some cutscenes a bit longer. Even i had moments where i was like “uh.. okay..” and yes, i have seen every movie multiple times too. Its still an awesome game tho, don’t get me wrong.
Ya thats my only complaint tbh. I wish the cinematics were a bit longer but more cuz i actually watch the lego star wars shows and thoroughly enjoy the humor
One of my favorite easter eggs is in the jedi temple where a youngling says that he feels safe and that nothing will ever happen to him or the jedi in the jedi temple. Anakin had other opinions
Okay, few things. I LOVE the open world!!! Feels so diverse and actually lively. Lego marvel 2 felt a bit plain at times. Also love the combat. really appreciate how it's split into catering rather than 1 solid roster of somewhat similar characters I have heard next game will be a disney world game with different characters like Mickey mouse. I feel like that isnt as popular as before, so personally i would love a lego marvel 3 in a similar style to lego star wars skywalker saga
The fall recovery will be used, I had a glitch in the Jedi temple where when i leave i just keep falling in to nowhere and lose like 10k studs. Now i don’t lose the studs anymore.
So far my favourite little Easter egg was to Eddie Izzards Death Star Canteen. When you turn the turbo lifts back on “we better get to the canteen before they run out of trays again”
I would advise to first Level up the brick magnet and treasure Radar skill so you can easily find the Kyber bricks and data cards and then save up bricks for the 2x brick multiplier (Costs 1 million) followed by the other brick multipliers (which Stack btw) so getting the true jedi on every Level gets super easy
For #10, I think if you buy the stud multipliers, not only will it increase the amount of studs you pick up, but it will also fill the "True Jedi" meter faster, relative to the multiplier. Also the multipliers stack with each other too. So you can combine the x2 and the x4 and get x8, which is REALLY nice, especially paired with the stud magnet. If you stack them all, you will have a multiplier of 3840.
Honestly I loved lego games as a kid on the Wii and played star wars lego and indian jones lego and a few others. I didnt really like the newer lego games tbh so I havent played a lego game since I did as a kid, but this game completly reinvents lego games! Like holy cow the level of details of graphics, the entire 9 movies!!! Its a must buy being a star wars fan imo
Through my playthrough I've found that on Geonosis there is a storage system featuring the original cover art of every single lego sw game. It's been quite some time since you uploaded this so you may not see it, but just another cool easter egg
The data cards are honestly the greatest improvement they made. Instead of having to look up which Red Brick you want from a specific level , you can simply grab a data card relatively early got mine between Episode 2 and 3. Then unlock the cheat you want
Just the way these Lego games look is fantastic. I used to goto a friend's house when i was a kid and play with his Legos. This was before they had specific popular Legos like Star Wars, Harry Potter, etc. They were just bricks and a couple of people.
I finished Episode I, so far I enjoyed everything about it, the atmosphere and the graphics are amazing for a Lego game. What kinda disappoints me, that the missions feel a bit rushed. But I really took my time and did other small objectives or unlock things meanwhile. What would be cool, is a battle between Qui-Gon Gin and Maul when they meet the first time on Tatooine, instead of just a fast cutscene and I missed the Naboo mission with Padme when Droids attacked the city, atleast I remember it from the previous game. There might be some more but I mean, the game got all 9 Episodes, even if I am not a big fan of the last 3 movies, still that is something incredible. But overall, I was surprised about the Naboo battle with the Gungans and the underwater city. I like the idea of free exploring and especially the mechanic of flying to other planets. Brilliant, and reminds me of the times with Jedi Academy or Knights of the Old Republic. I mean, we cannot expect more than this, this is still a Lego game. But the variety of things and places to explore is still huge. I still hope, in the future there will be some more content like the character customizer.
Same, disappointing missions. Extremely short, feel like an after though and they're very lack luster. I loved the old school semi open semi linear missions of the originals.
@@Raven_Moon777 Plus the new games graphics are really, really good. It's great, but not quite the same. Some will love it and some will hate it I think
I'm really bummed about the character customizer. I was looking forward to making some weird shit now that we have all (if not most of) the characters from the movies.
Lego games are some of my favourites but this one just seems a bit off. The level structure is really poor, most I've played so far is go here, watch cutscene, go there, watch cutscene, fight a miniscule amount of enemies, level complete, each level takes roughly 5 minutes. They've also missed out a lot of key moments from the sagas which I won't spoil
I agree they have a really cool combat system but they don't really put you up against too many enemies. I feel like they were really focused on packing each area with destructible, secrets, and side missions to the point where they had to give us less areas to fight enemies. The old games sort of had the opposite problem where the combat was boring and the games were too much about just fighting enemies, and then this game went too far the opposite way.
There literally is a 0€/$ way to do it... Peer-to-Peer ... is standard since the 90s and has been superseded by Server Based Multiplayer in the mid 2000s ... but yet they did decide to not go any of the ways. If you agree on that is not the question. The only relevant question is: Are you happy with what you get for your money? I say, it's 2022 and it's a no go to not do this... sad about the game, seems to be generally good... We will have to wait until the modders will bring us this feature.
There’s another Easter egg on coruscant where there’s a room with a bunch of seemingly collectible stuff in glass cases and one of the collectibles is a minikit from the original Lego indiana Jones games.
I’ve started Lego games with the original Star Wars one, and since then I’ve had them all. ALL. And while some of the more recent ones really were crap, this one is a masterpiece. Well worth the wait.
I liked when the first order trooper who yelled TRAITOR started doing stunts with his electric riot bar and han solo was ab to shoot him in the gut like indy jones
I remember playing these on the PS2.. playing it on PC in the openish world, with voice acting now. This is beautiful for anyone who played these as a kid or even if your a star wars fan
As someone who played the original game i can definitally say that the story mode feels very rushed. It's sad because I was really in it for the story because I wanted to relive the original game. While I'm enjoying the game, I just wish they had put more thought into the story rather than putting ALL of their energy into the side missions. Just my opinion though.
Another tip is that if you find yourself struggling with the shooting range challenges, you can unlock a spread shot skill with the bountyhunter class that adds more shots per shot in a little cone and makes those targets a little bit easier to hit.
This game is great but it needs more enemy AI firing combat situations. I find that I only face like 2 or three bad guys at a time and the partner AI is pretty efficient at killing them as fast as I do. They should have a difficulty setting where it increases enemy output on the screen and or increase their damage output. So far count doku was my hardest foe and he really wasn’t hard.
I did not expect so much content in the game its sometimes overwhelming in things like unlockables, secrets, things to find etc... for the price its a pretty good offer if one enjoys Lego and Star Wars. The only downside is that I feel it lacks a bit of story moments, there could be a little more story and dialogue. Some scenes seems cut at times making transitions a bit weird. But overall its a great package.
If you need to reach a high up place you can try using a Jedi to force lift a droid up there. If you can't quite reach it, try finding a high area to set the droid down on, change the droid to a Jedi, then change the initial Jedi to a droid, then lift the new droid to the higher area. I grabbed the Welcome to Theed brick that way.
@@T3hLiZ You can also use a Jedi to force lift a droid to a floating brick that's either above your head or out over a ledge, then switch to the droid to collect the brick.
I've been enjoying a lot this game but im going for only story first and then im going for freeplay and going for the galaxy free roam because i feel this game is 10% story 90% side content but i prefer to not overwhelmed myself with everything at the same time
I agree I’ve been trying to do both and it gets a little too much , what I’m doing is doing each trilogy and then doing the free play before moving to the next one
My favourite easter egg so far is in episode IV when The stormtrooper says: it must Be another drill . And then c3po pulled out a drill. Because in Finland The original original ep4 VHS / TV version The subtitles where just that ,. Subtitles where fixed in later versions
A little late but the best way I have found to get studs is to farm the large federation ship in space. Just figured it out yesterday. Was able to get over a million studs in around 30 minutes with no cheats active.
Right?! Expected that to make the list also. It’s really fun (until you’re trying to find that +one last+ thing to blow up to end the battle >XD) and I love the way the ships handle. Real old school Battlefront vibes. I was so terrible at the space battles but I loved them so much.
There's a fun spaceballs Easter egg in ep when you arrive on bespin. I love the game so far and hope they add more story stuff like clone wars missions and other TV show stuff
One of the levels is called the chewbacca defence which is a reference to south park also there an raiders of the lost ark reference in the force awaken a first order was doing sword tricks and han solo was gonna just shoot him
I heard a lot of funny dialogue in the first level of A New Hope by dressing up as a stormtrooper and walking up to the enemies. I imagine there’s probably similar stuff on most levels if you’re an enemy character, or potentially a droid
