2 bowls stuck together can we get them apart? any suggestions? 

I finally got it. I submersed them in water and filled up the lower bowl then put it on the stove carefully and heated the bottom bowl The water inside kept it hot for longer. Then I put ice water in the top bowl and used a sharp knife. found a slight gap and put the knife in there. after about 5 minutes of prying I got them apart. OMG never again.

If you have any other ideas put them in the comments below. may help someone else.

My husband got our two large Pyrex bowls unwedged easily with a small wooden wedge and a small hammer. He turned the bowls on there side vertically and tapped lightly two or three times at the seam, he rolled the bowl over to the opposite side and again tapped lightly and it came apart easily. None of the other techniques we found on the internet worked for us. This is a no mess proven method that works every time.

I just had great success with WD-40! Sprayed it in between the bowls, put ice in top bowl. Then used a butter knife and wiggle around the side, they popped apart immediately! 👍

Watched your video. This job is a lot easier if you have TWO people working together. Had two ceramic bowls stuck together last night. Added cold water and ice to the top bowl. Placed the bowls on the oven (high heat) for just a couple of minutes. Put the bowls back in the sink, and with a very flat butter knife placed it between the two bowls. While my wife pushed the butter knife down between the two bowls, I did my best to pull the top bowl up. After about a minute they eventually came apart. What a pain in the a_ _! But it works!

I had two glass pieces (a glass bowl stuck within a rimmed cake stand.) They had been stuck together for years!!! I had tried the ice and heat method several years back with no success. I was inspired to try again today. So I filled the bowl with ice and a large bucket with the hottest tap water. I dunked the two pieces stuck together up to the rim of the cake stand. I let them sit for a couple of minutes. I tried a few times, nothing. No movement. I tried a bit of dish soap in hopes of adding a lubricant. No movement. I returned the two pieces (with ice in the upper bowl) back to the hot water bucket. I had my husband grab a rubber mallet. We took the two pieces out again. He tapped the rim of the warm cake stand several times.....and bingo! They separated!

This should work --- sprinkle heaps of Johnson's baby talcum powder on the join, and get as much as you can down inside the join, then gently work them out. I came here to see how I could get two stainless steel saucepans apart, and I tried the talc method, and hey presto! they were apart in 2-3 seconds. Not sure how it will work on glass though.

I just watched your video to figure out how to separate two ceramic bowls that were stuck together. I filled my sink with hot water and put an ice pack and ice cold water in the top bowl. I let it sit about 15 minutes. I then took a butter knife and jimmied it in between the bowls and got them separated finally. Good luck to you all too. 👍🍀🍀🍀

I got it 😊. Let it stay in the hot and ice for a minute then remove both the bowl from the hot water and ice and try to separate the 2 bowls. Its really effective.

take a container add hot water below then put down the bowls add some ice on top. For 1 mins then add few drops of oil on the second bowl (bowl without ice) then use a knife to open it, very fast the bowl will separate.

OMG!! I was at the point of throwing out my 2 stuck pyrex bowls. I had them sitting in boiling water with ice in the top bowl for ages and ages... nothing. I then sprayed some canola oil around the top of the bottom one after refreshing the hot water again, got a metal skewer, held the top one and kept pressing the metal skewer between the 2 trying to find a gap. After doing this for about a minute, they finally came apart. Woohoo!!! 🙂

It worked. I used boiling water. Put some salt on d ice. It took only 3mins

I had this same problem and tried everything... they got super dirty with everything I did. Then I decided to put them in the dishwasher and wash them. Guess what? The separated!!

The knife did it for me too. I also put some WD-40 between the cups but I don't know if it mattered or not.

I’ve had this happen to me, and I always got them apart by gripping the top one and the bottom one separately, then twist them in opposite directions, pulling apart as you do. It is easier to break the seal while twisting.

I simply took a butter knife and stuck in between the dishes and was able to separate them in 1 minute!

Maybe putting a suction cup in the inside bowl and a suction cup on the bottom of outside bowl would give you better pull-ability?

So I did the hot water at the bottom and the ice in the top like you did and it didn't work so I was watching something on TV and I sat down for about 2530 minutes watching like came back over here. Dumped the eyes took it out and it was sitting on the counter for another five minutes and then I just started working my fingernails around the top. It actually came apart while I was watching your video so letting it sit after that with the ice in it for about half an hour it worked for me. Maybe it'll work for you

I tried all those things to and they wouldn’t separate. They had grease in them overnight then I left them out in the sun all day approx 6 hrs then I threw them on the ground about a ft in the air about 6 times and I’m happy to report they’re depart now I’ll put paper towel in between. Hope you didn’t break your bowls.

I was just about ready to try all this hot water and ice and everything when I decided to twist the top bowl back-and-forth very slowly and they separated!

The problem I have is , I have two lucite tall cups stuck together so tight with moisture. I’ve tried drizzling oil but there is no space

I just got 2 bowls apart by just continually hitting the site where they are joined with a butter knife. I did try all the other methods with no luck

I have 6 terracotta pots that are stuck together and I am trying to get them apart. I have tried so many things and only 1 came loose. If anyone has tips Im willing to try anything!!

I tried hot water on the bottom and ice on top after 10mins of trying to separate them, I throw away the ice and gave up as it didn’t work then my hus came along and push one down with a butter knife and it came apart 🤣🤣🤣🤭
