I really feel like most people who are higher ranked don't realize just how strong the lower ranked players are in some area. I see most top chess streamers describing lower ranks as a blunderfest of random moves. From my perspective it's nothing like that. I think Slynk said it correctly when he said it's mostly consistency at lower levels that keep players from moving up. There are many many factors other than that of course, but even at my level of 500 players are much stronger than most expect. It's probably just my lack of chess knowledge that makes opponents feel stronger than they are. But often times random players in low ranks are way too good.

He played really well for an 1100'ish player... I guess @Slink has the right aptitude for chess... But time whittles away any sound strategy... Then you end up with 40 seconds on the clock, usually just enough time to flush eveything down the drain 🤬

Figured it was best to comment now because I'm probs gonna crash 10 mins into the vid 😂 but man it made me happy seeing a long blunder man video come up in the ol feed, i love the daily uploads brother!

Also no idea if this is helpful but have you considered AI generated subtitles for videos like this? Might be good for those moments when you're both talking without you having to painstakingly edit/subtitle the video yourself. Just a thought - it's definitely fine the way it is, but that might be an improvement aye Ps this bloke is great, you have really good chemistry with him (and pretty much all your guests)
