So I also play the dutch, and from studying it I've found that against the london, often a lot of times what you can do is you can put the bishop on d6, get doubled pawns, but then push d6-d5 and have a huge clamp on e4, then push the 2nd pawn d7-d6 to prevent any Ne5 crap. Often times this can block the LSB on the square on b7, but it can readjust to a6 if needed and trade itself off or perhaps target a pawn on c4. What your opponent did with h4-h5-h6 was kind of odd, but not totally stupid, but it was kind of a waste as they needed to develop. I would recommend looking into these kinds of ideas with the computer!
This is how Simon Williams recommends playing against the London. I don’t know why Owen doesn’t also play this line given all the info Simon has on it that he can learn from.

I think you were amazing but you should play 15 minute rapid instead of 10 minute it will help with more time to think and do not be afraid of your opponent even if his elo is higher than yours i think that you are the best player and i believe that you will reach 2000 elo soon it will take time but you will make it the way you play is phenomenal 👍

I've mostly watched RU-vid videos and done a few chess courses on the openings, but GingerGM often plays these 3 openings in his games, so I usually watch his videos and learn from how he plays them. Also I've learned a ton from Alex Banzea. Great question!
Gotta learn and analyze why YOU are losing to improve and get better, not comparing it to someone else's games. Like blunderman said too, the consistency of play is huge as well. 1700, 1800, 1900s have bad games too but they just have less bad games than you do and also have a better understanding. Elo doesn't lie
OK, very interesting... very, very interesting. Today's games were courtesy of the White Monster, a personal favourite for flavour, but a little devil for chess matches. I'll keep a closer eye on your choice of bevvy and your results. You like caffeine, heck who doesn't, but you may be playing with fire here as you approach the elusive 2K.
Maybe he wanted you to time out before repetition so he could claim the win? Iirc pawns on the board means it's not insufficient material on timeout, so he'd get the win
hey so I've veen watching you for the past 20 videos and i totally love your content you're one of my favourite RU-vid chess content creator, I'm myself a 2000 rated player and i have some tips i would like to give you, first please please stick to the opening theory and don't try to invent moves, stick to the basic london and master the opening and study it itll help with the position, solve puzzles, they are key to see the sacrifices, and lastly you're getting better at understanding the position, but try and go deeper and understande the position take time and calculate scenarios in your head if the 10 mins isn't enough play 15+10 and go deeper, cz trust me 1800-2000 players are monsters, anyways i hope this helped, love you man keep up the good work ❤

I think playing longer time games is a super good idea, just not entirely sure when I'll start doing that/if it's a good idea yet. Thanks though....
