The worst thing that happens is when you make a video and you spend a lot of time and effort then RU-vid just simply take it down because they said that I violated guidelines. My video is just showing people how to download and install a free painting program that is open to everyone. As a small creator like me that really work so hard to make a good content and try my best to grow it really feel so frustrated about what happened.
RU-vid has been entirely opaque when it has warned me about comments. Pretty hard to correct a behavior when they actively conceal the reason for punishing you
Ye's buddy I had a video on my chanel of ppl fight and I got a strike but there are 10,000+ videos of same thing with millions of views on platform that don't get in trouble, at least make it consistently make sense.
@Direwoof Agree. Like remix's also. I got 2 strikes in one week and the first strike video wasn't even on my channel. 😶😶 And that second strike was a remix from Dr. Phil's Channel. It's devastated my channel now. I could appeal only the remix. But it was a No go.

RU-vid gave me a community guideline strike because apparently a Minecraft lets play compilation I made was "hate speech". I already appealed and they did not remove the strike. I tried to be logical with the appeal and even asked which part of the video was hate speech but never got a response of course.
That blows! My son is super strict with his channel. He shows me the funniest things, and ALL don’t get uploaded. I’m like “dude take a chance for once” He won’t do it bc a lot of his viewers are on the younger side. My son is literally too good, how is he my son? I have no idea. If I had RU-vid at his age, I would be banned on day one 😂
It just happened to me this last week. I am so upset. I wonder why they don't give us a option to edit the problem without a warning, then a strike and then 2 days later they didn't like my title on another video.

Thank you for putting these tips together. We are a non profit, non commercial community TV station who has (had, I should say) 2 live linear streams. They are feeds from our TV channels... This is what the You Tube algorithms don't like, even though I believe none of the content is in violation of anything. For a while, they would just interrupt the stream... a few times, at the start of all of this, I would appeal, state my reasons, and they would overturn it. But then they stopped overturning it and would just reject my appeals. And now they are implementing strikes. I just received my 2nd strike and cannot add streams or uploaded videos for 2 weeks. Not sure how to proceed.
Another challenge is that it's not always that simple to know EXACTLY what content RU-vid flagged in your video. RU-vid is global meaning we have people from all of the wold with different cultures and norms. This definitely adds challeges. Depending on the video you might end up never knowing exactly what gave you a strike. You can really only guess. I hope RU-vid will add more detailed information in the future such as timestamps.
I'm 14, and I was soldering a project on youtube, and in the video I took apart a lighter to salvage the piezo out of it. The lighter was empty, and wouldn't you guessed it, they took down the video! So I wrote an appeal, saying that there's nothing dangerous on taking apart an empty lighter. An e-mail came saying that I indeed violated the guidelines. RU-vid is a wonderful place
I think in many instances the first appeal is actually automated (depending some some parameters). This is why appealing a second time can help you get through to an acual human.

Just had this Happen with my very old videos I didn't even realize the videos were on there I tried to ask them if I can just remove them and not get a strike but no I got two strikes it's on my other channel I'm afraid I'm going to lose all my videos
I received a RU-vid strike because a single video on a random playlist supposedly violated RU-vid's child endangerment policy.. I did not watch the complete playlist when I saved it. I did not create or view the problematic video. The strike was supposed to last one week as it was my first violation but it has now been 2 weeks and I still can not upload videos or save any video to a playlist. I tried to appeal the strike in RU-vid studio but the app kept crashing and I was not able to contact RU-vid customer service.
I got a strike for something that happened back in December of 2020. It was a really stupid strike to get :/ Someone made inappropriate videos about me (sexually inappropriate using an app called Gacha Club) so I asked my subscribers to report them. Got a strike a week ago for that lmao, gotta fix the system.
i am gutted i got a community warning for posting how to install software using a crack even though in the video, i showed on camera that i have actually bought the software and that I do not recommend doing it, i am only showing it can be done for educational reasons. I got my feedback from youtube saying the post was "dangerous and harmful" . "not allowed to show how to get software for free or anything that would usually cost money", although the software is no longer available and been discontined, as it came out in 2007 and the company shut down in 2018, I accepted the breach of community guidelines, stating i was unaware of that part of the policy, which i genuinely wasn't, but i had to sign my name and accept the warning which will now remain forever on my account. i am so gutted, although a strike would be worse also would not have lasted as long, so I really wish it would be removed now, as it feels like i have wasted years trying to do things the right way, it feels like a stain on the account when all i was trying to do was be helpful, using something which is no longer revelant or available after seeing there is loads of trending videos on here that show how to do it! it was just my video which has been taken down but you can still find how to do it on other channels, so it seems unfair. but also I want to build my channel in the right way, with the right content, so I accept the mistake :(
I hope you see my question now - as I just got a strike claiming that I used BTS original content for the concert that I attended and it was all my shooting. - I might added the link of their original clip of the same concert and they thought that I used it - is this fair use (shooting concerts) and can I remove the strike?
This is stupid rule. Everyone could get everyone kicked off just because they have a different opinion than yours or some other childish reason. You should only get banned for threatening violence against law enforcement
What do you do when you have a group of people falsely striking you? A favorite creator of mine was just given 5 strikes in a 24 hour period, none of which are warranted... She's very upset obviously.. These people are trying to take her down without reason

I literally had only 1 strike and that video didn't even have blood or anything! I used 260 frames to animate a whole video and took me 3 hours and then they just take it down like it was nothing!!(this was in flipaclip)

i just got 2 strikes at the same time which my channel has gone from 700 subs to 7k in 3 days because my video going viral still going up now i cant get monetized for 90 days because of the strike
But the question is how you appealed it? If your appeal was rejected first time? You said, you asked for one more review. But how thats possible if appeal is rejected? Then you cant appeal the exact same thing for second time.

I got screwed over as well. Strike on a video. I appealed, won appeal. Two days later another strike on the same video. I appealed, they rejected my appeal. Got a hold of google support and they said it is going to "internal review". I offered to take the video down but they said that the strike remains until "internal review". It's been 3 days now. No word.

Great video David! Thanks for making this. I run a rather large gaming channel. Got my first warning 2 weeks ago and now a strike. I am so upset about this. They claim it's piracy? I tried to appeal against the first one and they rejected this. Still waiting for the 2nd one. It seems it happens to everyone eventually. I think the whole thing must be automated.
I uploaded a meme compilation and it got flagged the second it was uploaded and taken down for "child safety" (why, how?) Then I edited nearly half the video away and it was up for a few minutes and it got a strike AGAIN! Why? "Child safety"... I dont understand it at all man. It won't let me try to explain anything in over 100 characters and is just being a butt to me for no good. I wanted to just share some memes so I could delete them from my phone and advertise the fact I'm going to make art videos in the future. Like, there wasnt no children's safety in danger in my meme comp, but i still edited half the video away to yet rid of any questionable stuff and it still gets flagged. It makes me want to not not even try to make any videos or do anything in my life, just my depression compounding because of some stupid stuff, why try?

For some reason I was live streaming with my friends and then it said on my streaming app I was blocked from streaming and. Yt saids. Due to community guidelines strikes or copyrights you cannot live stream. And idk what it means
I & others I Know & heard other youtubers say get various messages time video uploads no strikes though just other messages like banned I other countries or says music or whatever is copyright claimed in some a couple cases they got reversed or half reversed when 2 claims on same video
