@@PatOutdoorshere’s a tip for your wheelie progress, try to just do a power wheelie up to 20-30mph, and then let it down. By doing that, you get a feel for the balance point, and also get used to using the throttle to balance the bike.

I learned to wheelie my stock xxx red, in 1 month. Coming from pedal bike wheelies, completely different. However, I have gained some tips from different people and different videos that GREATLY help to wheelie. 2 tips: 1. Don’t pull UP on the bars, pull BACK. 2. Stand up out of the seat, lean forward and let off the throttle, then throw your body back and your but over the rear fender as far back as you can go, while giving it throttle, and once it comes up sit back down in a comfortable spot with your arms slightly bent, and boom.

It’s incredibly rare for someone to learn wheelies in under a couple months and that’s dedicating at least an hour per day. Go to eco mode (probably always while doing wheelies), use a low regen braking setting to give you more time to engage your brake while you’re learning. Your wheel is nowhere near high enough. Tip your bike at a standstill to get an idea of the balance point. It’s not about power at all. Use your weight and blast straight up to balance point, then dip down to a constant/steady lower level of throttle while modulating your brake.

@PatOutdoors 4 месяца назад
Notes taken! Yeah I know it’s gonna take a super long time, just only have time to practice bit by bit in the weekends. I realize I need to go much higher to hit balance point and that’s my main focus next, along with tipping it on a standstill

I mean not necessarily, I have a stock talaria xxx that I got around 5 months ago and just started wheeling about 4 weeks ago and I can keep the wheel 12 o’clock for a whole block. Watching other people do it and give tips has honestly really helped me learn. The tactic that I’ve been using is to go around 7-9 mph and then compress the forks and lean back while the forks come up. When you lean back sit all the way on the back of the seat and give it full throttle. Then let the wheel gradually come up and then you just have to find the balance point.

Sweet stuff man. The progress is great so far, keep at it!! One tip: always always always keep a finger over the rear brake 🙂

Lean back further and make your initial pop the one that counts. Focus on the horizon and pull back, not up but back as you evenly pull your bars as you throttle. Its just going to take seat time and you'll have it in no time. It took me a about 10 months before I felt comfortable to wheelie. I now have both a Surron and a Talaria xXx. Great videos

I have a XXX as well. Can I give some wheelie advice? -Unplug the rear brake sensor, Talaria goes into "Wait" mode when you pull the brake making wheelies extra difficult. -When learning to wheelie, practice standing on the pegs while reaching balance point. It'll become muscle memory once you can wheelie standing and you can master wheeling while sitting.

First thing I did! The brake sensor kept tripping me out. I’m gonna try standing on the pegs next and pulling it further back, thanks

@@PatOutdoorsI’d say 2 months before I could ride it 30 yards, after 6 months I can ride about as far as I want. Practice in eco mode first, n trust your brakes! You’ll get it.

"walking" the wheelie with your feet down can be helpful to figure out what the balance point feels like. After that, hills make it easier

Practice wheelying on an uphill, slow, arms out, dont pull up, look way ahead. To learn where the balance point is. When not under power, apply the rear brake and pull backwards til the bike is upright and can balance. That is how far back you need to be. Wear some padding and a helmet. Banging your head in BFE isnt a good practice.

Everyone’s advice is spot on, the only thing that helped me learn faster was to try what you did in the very begging but had one foot on the ground like you were about to go into a 360 with foot on ground, I had to know what the balance point was so I knew how far back I could really go with foot on and rolling
