This video shows step by step how to make the 2 hook clipped down rig. It's a great scratching rig meaning, fish small baits and aim to catch what ever is in front of you. I use this rig when targeting things like dabs, whiting, flounder and rockling etc. I hope you enjoy the video.

That's no probs it depends how and where your fishing and the distance your trying to cast Where are you fishing ? I use 80lb which matches my shockleader do I can cast as hard as I like and it won't snap If your doing a light over head thumb you could use 50-60lb But remember safety you don't want that rig snapping in the cast and send a lead flying towards people

Enjoyed the vid. How do you know how much pressure to apply when crimping? sometimes my crimps move or i make the line weak and it snaps. For flattie fishing i have been using 30lb rig body, do you think that's my problem and that i should be using a stronger rig body?

Personally I use 80lb rig body on all my rig it matches the weight of my shock leader I just give it a good squeeze and it's ok you can get crimp tools in my up and over rig video you will see the crimp tool I use and there is also a link in the discription for them Crimp tool is the safest way to do it to be honest
