One thing I did not mention in this video is that you should try to smile during the speaking exam. When people smile it gives a better soound to their voice and sounds more natural ! If you have any questions, please send them to me here on RU-vid.
@@muhammadarshadiqbal9418 The first step is try to find a good English teacher so you can have lessons. Next is watch fims, TV series and news in English with subtitles, if you can. Good luck, David

@@The-English-Professorhello David,in part 4 I made grammar mistakes and one wrong word used, and I gve wrong asnwer at the end. What do you how much marks I deserve and marks criteria please.
@@Catssworlld Well my first reaction is - do not panic ! Was it the B2 exam you took? Anyway, it is quite common for candidates to make some mistakes, even giving the wrong answer to a question sometimes, but this does not necessarily result in a 'fail'. It all depends on the rest of the exam and the overall level of English. So keep your fingers crossed ! David
If you have any questions about the Language Cert exam, please feel free to write to me here in the comments section. Good luck everybody, or I should say - 'break a leg' ! : )

Hi David. Thank you so much for this video. I watch it many times. I am preparing for B2 spoken exam. And I m really nervous. :) What is the difference between raw mark (12) and scale score (50). How do they measure our exam from 12 to 50? And 12 is the number of questions? Thank you very much, Sir!
Hello Mai Anh Nguyen, thanks for the question. It is quite complicated to answer this but basically the raw score is how many correct answers a candidate has e.g. If there are 12 questions and you give 12 correct answers then that is a raw mark of 12. But a scale score is applied depending on things like the average score of all students and the difficulty of the questions. Really it depends on the results of each exam. The best thing you can do is just focus on answering as many questions as you can correctly and let the examiners worry about the scale score. Good luck
And about this what If the listening part you haven't achieved the target but when they add up overall you have passed do someone need to redo the exams again because of the listening or they just assumed you have passed
Hi David, Is there anything wrong with speaking too long answering a question? For example if we are allocated 3 min and we spend 5 min? Is there a clock somewhere to monitor how long we are taking to answer a question?
Yes there is a clock which the interlocutor uses during the exam. It is the responsibility of the interlocutor to indicate to you if you are talking for too long. The best thing is to practise speaking for the correct length of time so you know what it feels like. Certainly 5 minutes is too long. 3 minutes 30 seconds could be the absolute maximum.
Hello everybody, I hope you are enjoying the summer ! I want to ask for your help ! I have another RU-vid channel and it would help me if you subscribed to it and watched the videos. Just a question: I must study for C1 level. In this video you talk about B2 level. Is there a video only for C1 or is this video and example for all the exams? Thanks.
Hello Barbara, the style of the exam is the same for all levels but of course at C1 level the questions are a bit harder in terms of vocabulary and grammar. I have not made video specifically for C1 level but check the LangageCert website because it has examples of tests at all levels including C1. David
Hello David, i have a question, during online exam for part 3, how do they give the candidate sheet? Also, if it's shown to us for the 20sec prep time only, I'll have to write down those points, right?
It is definitely shown to you for the whole time of part 3 of the exam. I imgaine they make it available in a separate window on the online system at the appropriate time. Of course, as always, check with LanguageCert directly or with their nearest representative to your country.
hi David, on first July 2022 will be my spoken exam held and too much worried about it because I don't have any about language cert exam before but after watching your video and tips you motivated me a lot and helped me a lot to understand the things so clearly but still I'm confused what will be happen? this feelings will die me 😞. I'm trying to find more your videos about B2 exam but unfortunately I am failed.
Hello Sonam, yes I have made a video about C1 speaking - it is the called ' How to pass the LanguageCert C1/Expert exam'. It was uploaded 7 days ago. Please have a look for it. Regards, David
Greetings sir! Is there anything available about B1 speaking test.? However this video is so useful for preparation but that will be more easy if you explain about B1 test as well.
I appreciate your request but I cannot make one video just on role play because not enough people are interested to see it. I can only advise you to look at the role play part again and again to get a better understanding of this section of the exam. Best wishes, David
Hello David, can you explain me the languagecert result a bit as I'm going to attempt it sooner but I'm a bit confused as the university mentioned "25-37 in any one module, and 38-50 in the rest of three modules". So i wanted to ask does that means if i got 25-37 in speaking module then I'll be able to get the offer? Thankyou for helping us out.
I am afraid I cannot say what criteria any particular university requires in terms of language sufficiency. The best thing you can do is send an email to the university and ask them to explain what their requirements are. Good luck, David
@@The-English-Professor thank you david. One more question I'm a bit confused regarding, can you you tell what is the difference between Languagecert International ESOL SELT test and Languagecert Selt test? Thank you for you time.
Hi David, I wanted to thank you for your video. I practice every day my topic. I passed my GESE grade 5 test last Saturday, April 8 and received the result the next day. I am up to the moon. I passed with BB (merit) not sure what it is. Do you know what comparison from a French diploma?? Kind Regards, Sonia
Well it all depends on how much you talk about each suggestion or option. It largely depends on the interlocutor but in my opinion it is best if you mention all of them but some you can dismiss quickly with one sentence or question. The interlocutor will say 'let's move on' if you spend too long on one point. David
Hello Mary, you can find past exam questions on the website: www.languagecert.org/en/preparation/practice-material . The key for the written part of the exam is also on the website. I wish you lots of luck, David
Hello Sobia Waheed, if you take the exam online they will send/show part 3 of the speaking exam at the correct time during the exam. If you want to find part 3 practice papers go to the languagecert.org website. Good luck with thexam ! David
Dear Ashi Mughal, part three is a discussion between you and the interlocutor about a topic and you need to make some decisions together about the best options and prehaps the worst options. Basically you need to talk with the interlocutor and decide about some thing after discussing all the possibilities given on the exam paper. I hope this helps. David
