2 INSANE Tips for Gearing in The War Within Season 1 

Gearing is really fast right now if you have a character that plays in a high end group and or has nearly every 0.1% er on friends list, willing to carry your 600 ilvl tank thru 10s and higher. Everyone else yes these are good tips but dont think your going to get 4 pc and 618 ilvl in 48 hours without paying for it.

I dont let these youtube wow guys tell me how easy it is to gear. They list a key and get 4 2500 players instantly wanting to carry all of their characters. The rest of us don't live in that world.

gearing is only fast if the rest of your group are nearly full hero and are willing to do keys underneath them to help you lol. for everyone else this is the slowest gear progression has been since the advent of the upgrade vendor.

It’s not easier than season3-4 of DF as you got myth track crests at a much more obtainable dungeon level. Now for alts this is all true but mains it’s not easier

Yes getting boosted through content is very fast way to gear your character who could have imagined, you understand that most players cant even complete a 9 with an undergeared character in the group right?

Something else that will greatly accelerate gearing fresh alts will be reaching rank 24 renown with each of the four TWW factions. It's probably a little tough to be there now (I've only got Hallowfall that far, the rest are around 19-20), but once there, they give out a free Enchanted Runed Harbinger Crest, one per toon per faction. Can use those to crank out 619 pieces for your alts and not even have to farm the hero crests for it. Just need the 250 valorstones to create each spark, and the renown rewards will help a lot with that too.

Myth track being only from 10s, with how insane 10s are to pug...and with how laughably bad hero track is...well thats rough

You probably should mention a bit more prominently that this works only if you have access to myth track gear/crests. A heroic raider will not have enough crests yet for the achievement.

Gearing is only that fast for top end ppl. Rest of us aren't getting +10s or mythic boss kills.The grind to 620 is real.

For fury warriors it is even easier. Get a 2h 636, swap to arms spec and relog. There you go, every 2h wep on your bag can be brought up to 636. Everytime you want to get the second 2h as fury, just swap to arms and relog

620 is just halfway to max this season. Let’s instead talk about how to raise it above that with “ease”

You can only gear fast if you are in a group of 2.5k+ and willing to boost you

Gearing is only fast if you have people boosting you. The average player won't get 620+ in 48 hours or at all to be honest.

The fury warrior example isn't accurate you only need one 2 hander to unlock the no crests/half flight stones on your second weapon

The achievement to save crests on alts after getting 619 on your main is great! But I don't see how it's worth to spend 1 spark and 90 guilded crests on items (Trinket/ring) that are not going to be BIS or actuall good items you want to use, to reduce the price of a 2nd piece of the same slot type. And you still have to actually do high end content to have an RNG chance to even get and item in said slots to get the benefit of the cost reduction. This is at best a slight min/max thing for people already clearing a lot of the raid on mythic and m+ 10 or higher. Just to save a small ammount of crests but at the same time setting you back on sparks that could be used for embelishment slots that won't be replaced. I could see it being a slightly more usefull tip for weapons, where you actually might want to use a crafted weapon for your offhand if you're going ascended embelishment for raid.

What a funny joke. If u have great team ! yeah you gear up relatively fast. Other 99% players keep struggling.

Here's a tip to gear up alts over the course of the season. 1. Zekvir tier ? grants a 616 Hero Track Tier 8 vault slot. 2. This delve takes between 2 and 5 minutes to complete. 3. Repeat until Vault Slots are full. 4. Wait for weekly vault. 5. Profit!

So for rings using the recrafting trick.... You craft the first one at 636, equip it then recraft it again at rank 636 then equip it in the second ring slot. At that point i could take the first slot ring to 636 for just flightstones?

Does the crafting thing work for shamans? 1H and shield?

The recrafting thing will 100% get patched now that you put it out to the public so this video will be obsolete by Tuesday. The sad part is that 95% of players will never get over 619 this season.

You are not talking about the enchanted runes crests from renown x4 which will be speeding up gearing alts even further

Do you know if that achievement checking across your entire warband for each slot or is it checking on one character?

I think your tip to invite frost death is evergreen advice. One of the reasons mage was so good in dragonflight is because they had like 6 defensives for every one shot mechanic. A good way to predict the meta is to just see which dps are immortal.

Did they fix the recraft? Or have people just not been logging out after recraft

Gearing is also only so fast if gear drops. I filled my vault on my BrM and received one piece of gear from EoD and it was a belt....which is my crafted slot. I've done probably 40+ keys (a lot of which being Arakara for trinket) and 3 raid clears and am rocking 590 crafted bracers since I have straight up never seen a pair drop.

I'm 2450 and I can say gearing is fast if you have a team/guild/carries to help you.

Would you have to recraft a 1-hander for a frost dk with different stats or can i just recraft it to the exact same version

I’m an ex hardcore raider and raided since BC I rejoined wow literally three days ago which more than a month since release I’ve managed just with soloing delves and doing world quests to almost be at 600 item level. So that’s level 70 to 600 item level in playing three days and I’ve had work every day. Wow is seriously Kind to players gearing now.

Its a month into the season....its okay to be ilvl 603. With that being said, gearing is definitely easier. Delves are an entirely new source of heroic raid/medium to high lvl m+ gear. I hit 2k last week and ive never achieved it so fast. So with all things being equal, regularly completing 10s will be a lot easier in the coming weeks

The gilded crests start at 9 also.

What’s crazy is when I invite a 620ilvl + to my group with a 2600io and they end up being complete dog shit. Usually from rag.

there's a huge bottleneck at 11. everyone and their mother are just doing 9s and 10s because 12 are such a steep step up that it's almost a waste of time. if you get your key up with a mists 7 you'll get easy carries everytime

I know people are timing 12s and whatever now but i feel like there is a big jump from 8 to 9 and then to 10. Can't imagine 11 etc 😅

I just spent 2 hours queueing for 7 and 8 keys at 2150 io, three groups disbanded because they did not fill up, the only two keys I ended up doing were bricked by a tank chimping out and wiping us multiple times with absurd pulls. This season is absolutely terrible and unplayable to pug. I won't be extending my sub when it runs out.

Gearing isn’t fast. They added 2 tracks to myth and kept the weekly cap at 90. You can hear piss weak 619 but the gilded grind is insanely slow

Is the recraft thing not considered bug exploiting? I feel like a lot of people could have stumbled into it on accident by just recrafting a ring but it still feels like its possibly bannable. If all the rwf people did it Im sure its one of the "safe exploits" but still

Thanks for the tip, but the actual explanation on how this works was dogwater clear. So you craft a item that has 2 slots like rings and 1hs, then you recraft the same exact lets say ring and then the other one is discounted? you don't have to do anything else? or do you need to go from 219 to 236 or w/e in order for it to work??

: ( i thought you were gonna say no crests needed. I'm ilvl 609 and have 45 runed crests and 6 gilded crests. Absolutely stalled. Did start doing mythics, but as a new player who raids, it is kinda hard to learn all these dungeons and potentially brick people's keys. Can't even bit the dungeons to get a feel for them. Lol my first week Dawnbreaker was just awful. I think they're missing a trick to help foster community by rewarding blasters who lead a +3 with a reward of a +10 (one a week and for new to mythic plus players) Been loving having a raid leader and the occasional pug that's cool imparting all that wisdom. Luckily my friend and duo is an OG and helped the onboarding over comms along with add-ons. Im wayyyyyy better now. Oh and Havoc isn't a noob friendly class. So many ledges and insta kills dashed into. So. Many.

Thanks for these "tips" that are ONLY for 1% of the playerbase and who obviously already knew about these. This video only makes rest of the "Mole People" feel even more sad and pathetic. 😑😑

360 Runed Harbinger Crest cap sucks ass!!!!

Any player who was not able to get a character boosted through 9s or was not running 9s week 1 with friends for full hero 2/6 has a bricked account because if they needed to use any runed crests to upgrade their gear so they could even get into any groups (every solo dps player) then they are still unable to get harbinger of the runed for at least another 2-3 weeks, an achievement people with a group to play with had week 1. This means the vast majority of solo players who are hard capped at ~615 right now are competing to get into meta 7s and almost all 9+s with players who are 625+ with 2400+ score. Good luck getting into a 10, what a joke... The way the current system is designed with crest capping and no comeback from needing to spend early is absolutely fucking solo players, especially dps who cant get into a group undergeared. My priest is 2320 and ilvl 617, cleared 8/8nm and 7/8hc every week and there is literally nothing I can do to gear it more other than mythic raid and it takes me on average over 100 applications to get into a 9 when my score card is all 9s with a bunch of +2. I installed a WA to track how many declines I get and it fluctuates between 70-120 on average to get a single invite, and I am applying to all dungeons with leaders who have lower score than me and no healers/tanks. Its completely fucked this season for solo players because the difference between people who have a group early and people who dont is huge, and theres no way to close it for weeks.

Hey Tettles appreciate you and all your content but you are missing quite some steps, which for 90% of the playerbase are easier/more efficient to get to 610ish: - 2x 610 crafted pvp gear (complete 1 epic battleground and quest 'calling all gladiators') - 590 crafted gear by flying through orbs and collecting crests - T8 bountiful delves - Solo zekvir on lowest difficulty for 616 vault slots This will all get to relatively quickly and easily (does cost some gold though) to an ilvl where you can start doing keys. Hopefully this will help people get to a level where they can start applying the tips in your video!

I am mostly joking... but, do you all have jobs? Do the non streamers actually gear a stable of alts in their evenings? Do you live entirely alone in your life? I just don't get the time sinks in this game.

Zekvir’s lair is sleeper op for free gear on alts if you are willing to wait a few weeks. It’s an absolute joke to solo and counts as a tier 8 delve for vault. I had a 500 ilvl shaman with all season 4 dragonflight gear able to solo him in like 4 minutes. You can get literally all 13 classes to have 1-2 hero track slots in their vault in a way shorter time than doing keys on all of them, plus you don’t have to deal with getting into a key at low ilvl

best expac in a min.. the cesspool of casuals that can't do 7's and complain is quite entertaining and def hope they keep it the same so they dont get end game gear if you can't be skilled enough to get the gear why do you want it in the first place? to just look cool lmao . 2500 + has been all competent players and if you brick the 10's and above then its just usually due to strat or at least a mental mistake or two that I can live with that but I can't live with a casual playing a meta shaman being fed 625 geared and doing below the tanks hopefully those days are long gone
