- San Bernardino, United States - Glen Helen Pavillion - August 20, 2005 - The Early Days Tour/Eddie Rips Up Tour CHECK OUT MY OTHER IRON MAIDEN VIDEOS!
Bruce and the rest of Iron Maiden are real proffessionals .. dont give a negative person nothing she can chew on.. and shes played out. She's really sick.. even without cancer
You Joker Bruce was only teasing about that embarrassing Osbornes reality show. Ozzy didn't even know what was going on. Steve Harris was apologetic towards Ozzy but that vindictive corpse bride was still not happy.
@jason sloten - Agreed, Iron Maiden deserved a lot better but remained professional. Btw nice dog, I used to have an English Mastiff, he was an angel in huge, slobbery dog form lol.
i was there haha. the summer going into my freshman year of high school. maiden still tore shit up. best band of the night, even with all the sabotage sharon was throwing their way.
@@TheWhovianWizard Hmm a guy who runs around the stage for two hours versus the guy who stands in a box and reads off a teleprompter 99% of the time. I could only wonder who the better frontman would be.
@@MichaelHemotoxin I didnt say he wasn't better, it's still awful. It's the same issue as with Angus Young or (yes I know he's not a front man) or Freddie Mercury. They both run around on stage and it doesn't make it any better. With Angus it works on a level of showing how good of a guitarist he is, and with Freddie Mercury He Runs Around but he always seems to have some kind of direction, like everything is done with a purpose and all the movements are very strong. Bruce runs around the stage with no direction, and ozzy walks back and forth looking like his dog pooed on the carpet. What I was saying is both are bad, not one is better :)
@@TheWhovianWizard I don't think I quite get the root of your point. Are you saying having a great stage presence is bad? You can tell the crowd feeds off of Bruce's energy, and vice versa. Check out the performance of Fear of the Dark from Rock in Rio in 2001.
I remember they cut the power right at the best part at the end when they say, "Yeah yeah yeah hallowed be thy name" I was waiting for that part too. That was the first time I saw Maiden I was like 18.
the reason they all came back in so perfectly in run to the hills was because only the front of house PA was cut off (what the audience hear) and the stage monitors were still on, so they could hear everything fine as if nothing had happened. If you don't believe me, turn the volume up and you can hear the stage monitors still going
I was at the second Ozzfest 2005 show in Hartford, and the sound was out for the entirety of the opening number (Wrathchild)...the crowd was booing like crazy. As soon as they kicked into The Trooper, the PA kicked in, the crowd went nuts, and the rest of the show was perfect...so even though we didn't realize it at the time, Sharon had been fucking with Maiden's sound from the beginning of the tour. it wasn't a technical glitch as we thought. And I know Bruce had been making all sorts of derogatory comments in the press and onstage about American audiences being fat and boring, about reality TV and teleprompters and everything, which were obviously not-so-veiled insults at The Osbournes...he definitely has a lot of opinions and a big mouth, but it was ridiculously stupid of Sharon to penalize her own crowds if she was pissed at Bruce. She came out onstage after the San Bernadino concert to say that she loved Maiden but that Bruce was a prick, and got booed off the stage. Her childish vendetta blew up in her face.
I WAS AT THIS OZZFEST AND MAIDEN BLEW OZZY OFF THE STAGE EVERY FUCKING NIGHT!!!! IM NOT SAYING OZZY SUCKED BUT MAIDEN WAS JUST MILES AHEAD OF OZZY'S BAND...THATS WHY SHARON IS PISSED AT BRUCE BECAUSE HE Wouldn't TAKE A BACK SEAT TO OZZY....
@3:53 it's a wonder how janick hasn't hurt his neck yet. That looked like an extra angry guitar spin. I mean i'd be beyond pissed if i was in this situation.
Love Ozzy, Sabbath, AND Maiden, but I still think that Sharron was behind all of this. Apparently she did this because Bruce express his dislike for reality TV, and she took it as a jab at the Osbournes TV series. But like anything, we need solid proof! I am deputising all of youtube's metal fans to find SOLID EVIDENCE on what the fuck happened! Good luck!
I can imagine Bruce not being too happy about being "Special Guests" on a tour like this. None the less, if Sharon wasn't happy why didn't she discuss it with Rod Smallwood? Ahh well.....
Im not really a heavy metal fan but they came on telly years ago and i couldnt stop watching then at a shit festival they came on and blew me away. Different league band.
I been in so many concerts but this was the Best a thousang of people there was wow awesome Will never Will forget this Unique gif i have gift My self wow
Little girl, all the evidence point to the same point. It all started because Sharon Osbourne was jealousy of Maiden, because all the applause of the audience on each concert were to Iron Maiden, and that it corroborated Josh Homme (lead vocals from Queens of the Stone Age) who said he never would return to work with Sharon Osbourne
In addition, Osbourne claimed that the flag-waving during "The Trooper" was disrespectful to American troops,[83] at the time fighting alongside the British in Iraq, even though Dickinson had always held a Union Flag during the song, being based on the Battle of Balaclava during the Crimean War.[76] ---- According to Dickinson, the attack was in response to his "disparaging remarks about reality-TV shows that she took personally",[80] although The Guardian reported that he slated the Osbournes' reality series and accused Ozzy Osbourne of using a teleprompter.[79] Dickinson has since denied making comments against Ozzy Osbourne and Black Sabbath,[81] but admitted that he criticised Ozzfest throughout the tour, attacking their "corporate" seating layout and saying, "Most of the bands are there because they paid to be there."[82]
@stabyourcat Apparently all was said was " I wouldn't do reality tv". Also the Iron Maiden apologising on Bruces behalf has only come from the Osbournes side of it, Steve Harris i believe said that he would have said sorry if there was something to say sorry for. Don't get me wrong i love Maiden and Ozzy, but Sharon risked there being a fucking riot. Maiden could have just gone off stage but they carried on like professionals.
well i at least respect Maiden for keeping on playing even though their audio was going wack. unlike a certain man whose first name is part of a car and his last name is a flower, who would have had a pissy fit.
My first Ozzfest and the last stop at WPB Fl,I remember being so excited to see Black Sabbath and Iron Maiden on the bill. I didn't know why IM wasn't on that last showing at the time, they were cancelled. So what Bruce doesn't care for reality shows? Fans paid for that venue and should have received what was advertised! The power cut offs and eggs were unprofessional and immature.if they are all adults,a simple conversation could have respectfully resolved it. Talk it out first!
They both have a lot of fans...You don't know all the circumstances surrounding the situation cause i'm sure everything you heard isn't the whole story.
The utmost stupidity of all this is that Sharon was the organizer of the event and for some personal feud justified or not she sabotaged the event she was producing and tried to spoil the fun for all her paying customers. Unbelievable!
@@mdnblues Did BD admit this & if he did why talk shit.... what Ozzy does is none of his business .... I don't get it... sounds like pussy shit.... Sharon should not have done what she did though her beef was with BD not Iron Maiden....
@ricardoleony they brazil and sweden are die hard maiden fans or any other heavy metal artists but it wasn't the american audience that did this sharon osbourne said that she hired about 200 hispantic kids to throw eggs at them.
@ricardoleony or go to germanyy the audience in frankfurt was so loud that bruce said he is deaf on his left ear because of the audience but i hope it was just a joke
yeah right, let´s have more fights between fans on shows because some idiot just started a war between stoners and drunkers by quote that IM is "anti drug band" That´s exactly what we need, more news on TV about fights on metal shows...
talking aubout audiances... every band ive seen (thats like 100+ different bands) all say english audiances are the best. no competition, and from looking at videos of crowds around the world, it seems true
I think the truth is in the middle here. Sharon didn't act very mature, and maiden was being very disrespectful. Ozzie, and maiden have both contributed immensely to heavy metal. But let's be realistic here, OZZY in Sabbath invented it, and Dickinson has said as much and more than one documentary on Sabbath. And as of right now, sabbaths album 13 has charted at the number one position in Dozens of countries, including the UK and the US. So OZZY is definitely relevant today.
